They can put good drives together, get in position to take commanding leads, and too often it's a field goal and an 'Aw shucks' attitude. Play calling in the red zone looks predictable. Everything about them seems vanilla. How many times this season have the Packers had the chance to step on the throat of an opponent early only to see them having to battle hard in the 4th because they couldn't close or they let up off the gas?
A win is a win and I was expecting a battle today, but the game left a sour taste in my mouth.
I agree with you, and learning how to play with a lead was the difference between 6-10 and 10-6 for us last year. Fortunately, our defense is much better this season, but this offense needs to find a way to keep the pressure on (which I understand is tough to do without a dependable running game).
