Hardly. He wasn't complaining, just honestly answering a question from a reporter. He originally said a former coach he couldn't remember and then when pressed admitted it was Wittman.

Loving these comments from Love. Everyone knows Wittman is a complete tool and was a horrible coach for us. Love was just being honest. Not following the Minnesota Nice game plan of being all nice and smiley about someone in public then ripping them a new one behind their back hardly indicates an attitude problem in my eyes, quite he opposite.

I lived in Poland for a while where brutal honesty reigns supreme, and it was like a spring breeze compared to the culture of lies and false fronts that is the norm back here in America.

Let me play Devil's advocate for a minute here. I think a good argument can be made that on offense Love shouldn't be taking 23 foot jump shots. By allowing him to shoot so far away from the basket, you don't allow him to utilize his greatest talent and that is being a disruptive force on the glass.

Think of it this way: someone like foye shoots a 3 pointer -- there's a 40% it goes in and a 15% chance that Love or another player gets the offensive rebound.

If Love shoots a 3 pointer -- let's say there is also a 40% chance it goes in, only now with a player like Foye in position to get the rebound (or no one at all) in place of Love and thus there is only a 5% chance that Foye or another player gets an offensive rebound.

If Love shoots a 3 we have Al who's a damn good offensive rebounder himself.

p.s. and it's not like Love is camping out behind 3pt line, he's just mixing it up

That's a good point but...
08-09 - 3.4 Off.Reb/Game, 0.105 3Pt%
09-10 - 4.0 Off.Reb/Game, 0.636 3Pt%
I'll take this year thank you very much (yes I know it's a small sample size, yadayadayada).

Well he's obviously much better this year after getting stronger and working on his shooting in the offseason.

This is very nice analysis, but I was just mainly commenting on the supposed moral failing of young Mr. Love speaking the truth when answering the media's question.

On the BB court, I hope Kevin maximizes his ability in whatever way possible! :)

He could have been honest without being disparaging towards Wittman ("Last year's system kept me away from the 3, I've been working on it over the summer, etc.). Perhaps there is some sort of inside joke, sarcasm, etc. that we aren't privy to, however I'm not sure that is the case.

How funny would it be if Wittman and Love got into an all out fight on the court when we play the Wizards? It might be the first assistant coach and opposing player fight ever in the NBA.
When luck shuts the door skill comes in through the window.
