I've been offered Dwight Howard and JR Smith for Joe Johnson and Carl Landry in a keeper league.
Strict statistical analysis based on the stats so far this year would seem to indicate that I shouldn't do the deal, but it just seems hard to turn down. On one hand, I take a hit in points, assists, turnovers, and a big hit in FT%, but on the other hand: 1) Who knows how long Landry can keep this up? 2) JR typically gets much better as the season goes on (look at his pre-all star and post-all star stats from the last two years), and 3) I get Dwight as a keeper, which would be huge.
But what do you guys think?

H2H? Roto? # of Teams? How many players are kept each season?
How do you currently fare in FT%?

H2H with 10 teams of 14 players each. Right now we've got 4 keepers every year.
On the whole I'm doing all right in FT% so far. Averaged around 85% in the last two weeks, I'm guessing in the high 70's for the year. I've gone 3-4 in the category.

Do it. Since this is a keeper league I think it'll be easier for you to build around Dwight than it would be if you drafted him.
Johnson will be a FA at the end of the year and who knows where he lands - I'd imagine he stays with the Hawks but if he doesn't there will be a lot of uncertainty surrounding his stats with Dwight on the other hand you know what you're going to get from him year in and year out.
There's also the fact that since Dwight is younger / the more flashy name if he doesn't work out for you team you'll definitely be able to move him again and retool on the fly.
I honestly think Johnson is a bit overrated in fantasy...
Also depending on the cats you're aiming to be elite in Smith vs. Landry is pretty much a wash...

Re: Extremely tough decision...
I counter-offered, replacing Landry with Scola (won't take such a big hit in certain areas), but told him I'd still be open to the original deal if he wanted to do that.
Thanks for the advice though guys.
