Back to the topic here....

Eagles are in BAD shape right now. Geez, let's count the ways:

1) They're all-world QB is struggling, obviously so with his legs when he tries to run. Can't blame him coming off that surgery But you take away that dimension of McNabb, he looks very, very average or below average with his rust. 2) Their running back is limping now. Plus that weird conflict he has going with McNabb about who's the leader? 3) Dawkins is hurt, LJ Smith and Lito Sheppard too now?

Well, they get Detroit in town now today who's offense is looking pretty nice so far. I could see a loss there.

Then you have Washington in another NFC East showdown for the second week in a row. This time against a team with probably more questions that the Eagles in NYG. Damn, the Giants look bad all around right now. Plus that lockeroom is a mess. Their coach shoulda been fired LAST year. That team has just shut him out already, he's lost control of it. And they're on the road in Wash. today.

Probably another week where we don't learn anything about Washington and they remain undefeated going into their BYE next week. So, we get to hear about how great the Skins are for another two weeks.

Meanwhile, we get the well talked about measuring stick today in Chicago. If we get the win, it'll be easier to take the Washington hype a little longer.

The NFL scheduling of the Dallas/Washington games so late in the year looks like a a bit of luck.

So far... with the Eagles hanging 56 and killing the Lions, my predictions are not looking good.

God i hope Campbell and Elisha are the starting QBs for their teams for a long time. They both suck.

Well worstcase scenario we're tied for first place after this week.

Rattler you're 0-2 now, predict alot of losses for us this year ;)

Looks like we cannot appoint those Fakeskins yet as our main rival in the division this year. McNabb showed why he is still the man today and Eli and co. showed that they are still very much alive. Every year everyone just beat up on each other in this division, hopefully we can seperate ourselves in the upcoming weeks. Though the division can look very tight after tonight.

Eli's not that bad. Doesn't help his receivers drop passes...

Anyways, it was a nice 2nd half for the Giants.

Thought I'd bump this thread.

The picture is getting more clear now: it's a two horse race really unless we let Washington get back in it.

1) Cowboys: Obvious reasons, we're 7-1, what more do you need to know.

2) Giants: If they get a win in NY, we will be in a dogfight till the last day of the season. This is going to be one crazy environment. The Giants D may be the most impressive I've seen by far in our conference. But I want to see it against us again, they didn't look too tough that first week. They've gotten better, let's find out how much better exactly. This will be the toughest challenge, even more than Eli maybe torching us again.

3) Washington: I still think their defense is overated and their QB is even more overated. But we haven't played them yet, should be a fun game. They can get in the middle of the race really fast too if we lose to NY and Washington gets a win on us too.

4) Philly: Stick a fork in 'em.

So much football to play in our division that it's too early to tell yet, but we are in good position. I can't believe we're 7-1 and a loss this weekend would bring us to a tie in our division. It's not going to be easy.

A win this weekend puts us pretty far ahead. Yes it will really only be a 2 game lead, however with the tie breaker in hand and 7 games to go we'd clearly be in the drivers seat.
There should be something in the gameplan about telling Tank that Elisha had someone steal his guns and ammo while he was on the way to new york.

You're right, 3 game lead with 7 to go is pretty tough to lose.

A loss puts us in a dogfight for 7 games though.

This is gonna be fun!

I don't want to say the division is locked up, it's too early and we haven't gotten a win against Washington yet either. But I like our chances.

I really thought this Giants defense would be the one that could slow us down. We handled them pretty easily again in their house this time. I've been watching their front four and they've dominated. I was really impressed with how easily our offensive line handled them. It was very impressive.

I can't imagine the Skins defense is anywhere near as good as the Giants one. We've seen what Phily has on their field, we have one more at home with them. We're done with the Giants. The hardest part of our division race might be done. We just need to take care of business now, don't take the Eagles or Skins lightly and we should be good.

This game has become a battle of attrition with injuries. And, Boys have an odd 2 weeks with Jets on T'giving and Pack the next thursday. Big break after pack tho.

Ok, we are one step closer to wrapping up the Division. I'll say a win against the JEts and I'm confident it's locked up. A win against the Packers and we are in the driver's seat for homefield through the playoffs.

I think that will be the biggest focus. We do NOT want to have to go to Green Bay in mid-January on that frozen street with two goal posts. No way. I think beating Green Bay will be key if we want to go to the "you know what". We can beat anyone in our conference in our house. We need to prove it but we are one of the top two teams in the conference. So, it's not premature to start talking about the bigger picture.

But let's face it, if we can't beat them in our house in a nice late November Dallas evening, we have no shot in 10 below weather.

Cowboys: 10-1
Giants: 7-4
Eagles: 5-6
Skins: 5-6

With the losses by every team in our division this weekend, by my view, we have a 4 game lead on the Giants now!!! Unless the Cowboys lose every game from here on, the Division is unofficially locked up!!!!

So, we're just playing for homefield through the playoffs now I think. It's all on the GV game now. Winner will probably get homefield.

1 Dallas win or 1 Giant loss and we clinch the division.

Cowboys: 11-1
Giants: 7-4
Eagles: 5-6
Skins: 5-6

Will the Boys lose every game from here on after winning 11 of 12 with the only loss being to THE undefeated team?

Are the Giants going to win 5 in a row when it's 3 of 5 on the road, one of the home games is against the undefeated Pats (I know it might not mean much by then, but if they are 14-0 by then, no way they lose it), they have been playing .500 for the past 4 games and Eli looking worse each week?

I think the answer to both is obvious. I'm very close to going out on a short limb here...

It's a wrap!!!!!

Cowboys are the 2007 NFC East Champs!!!!!

Nothing to be proud of? I disagree, it's the first prize of many we want. Next we want the #1 seed and homefield for the year. Then we want the Conference. One step at a time. This is the first of what I hope is the begining of a great run.

It's been amazing so far this year, this is something special. And it's been so long since we last were called Division champs.

Return to Dallas Cowboys
