Yes, but we're going by what you started with as well.

Exactly. You shouldn't have been last in that category, but its not like you should have been anywhere near the finals in that department.

I mean, Sam Bone, if we really judged it that way the teams that started with more would be ranked higher on average than the teams that started with nothing.

Yeesh.

ok what did I start with when it comes to the future?

A team that locked Gortat and Bass (backups) to long contracts eating away at their cap
A 2nd option that is old and a shell of himself in VC (plus injury prone)
A young PG who has spent the better part of each of the past 3 years missing alot of games
A 3rd option in Rashard Lewis who dispite his numbers is veiwed as one of the worst contracts in the game.

I have backed all my older stars with young future stars. Morrow, Sessions, Bynum, and Al Thornton are all major future upgrades over anything on Orlandos roster that I started with. Plus the fact that I drafted a backup to David West (isn't that old) who will be a lotter pick this year in Pattrick Patterson.

So can you please explain how I am worse off now (voted dead last) then when I took over the Magic?

Plus the fact that I took over a franchise and kept the young Franshise player unlike most other GM's should not be held agaist me.

I agree, great job rocdogg; also I've been very busy lately and I apologize for not getting my rankings in.

We're already choosing teams lol?

Let's not start this until around February. That gives us a nice (needed) break from the game, and then we can do a long game, like the one from the summer of 2008.

I just figured I would throw it out their because odds are by the time the next game starts I may be either only checking the board every so often if it doesn't happen right away or sleeping in late if it does happen right away.

We definitely need to wait before starting another game.

After seeing these rankings I'll be thinking twice about participating in one of these.

No issues with my own ranking (I didn't think I deserved to be very high), but its clear that some people don't understand how this was supposed to work.

agree 100% and I am now retired from these games. What a joke!

Thanks to rocdogg for running the game.

same with me, and agreed.

No way. Then it definitely gets too long. Thats one of the reasons I sorta disappeared on y'all (and I kinda forgot about this game too oops). Sorry. If we do multiple years, it needs to only be 2-3 weeks tops of in-season trading, not months like it has in the past.

----------------

The two biggest problems I've noticed in this game are efficiency and communication. I also believe these two go hand in hand. I think better communication from the commissioner and just in general keeps the game in our minds. Lets face, all of us (I hope) have lives outside of RealGM and outside this game. If we aren't reminded about whats going on, then the players will lose interest, and eventually not come back.

r0cd0gg, you said that email "isn't your cup of tea," but sometimes as the commissioner you need to do things to benefit the entire league/game, not just yourself. Yes, you may have posted information in the threads, but sometimes, GMs don't get on RGM often enough to get the needed information because they don't know its there. And if they are on RGM, maybe they don't have the time to do what they need to do. But most people do check their email multiple times a day, and can see the reminders. All you would need to do is copy and paste what you wrote in those threads into an email message.

Sorry, r0cd0gg, I am not trying to attack you, and I am sorry if it seems like it is coming out that way. I just know this game has so much potential, and thats why I try to join it every time (also so I can get my team, which I haven't gotten to this day). But every time, it just never achieves its potential and dissolves. I have ideas for what it could be, and I think I could see myself trying to run it, but am unsure about it. There is so many arguments about what is wrong with the game that I know I couldn't please everyone.

I think if i were to run one of these there would be no such ranking as best rebuilding team.

I think that's where the game goes wrong.

you have people trading Dwayne Wade for the likes of say OJ mayo and Rudy Gay.

that does not make your team better in any way.

you would have to upgrade your talent slowly...and then trade two players like hmmmm Joe Johnson and Horford to get Wade.

not trade, Horford, Bibby, Marvin Williams to get Wade.

Wade only used as an example i have no idea what he was traded for in the last game.
