Anthony Randolph on the Block
Whats everyones interest in him?
I would personally love to see him at PF next to Brook
What about something like Yi + returning GSW's picks for him?

In all seriousness, I'd be down with Randolph for most player/pick combos that don't include Harris, Lopez or the lottery pick (2010 or 2011).
Maybe TWill and the DAL pick for Randolph?

I'd love to have this guy too. He's a perfect fit for an uptempo team that needs defense, rebounding, and energy - aka he's exactly what we need.
If we are offering picks, the GSW pick holds extra value to them because it opens up future trade possibilities. Randolph, Turiaf, Morrow, Azubuike, and Bell are all guys that I would like from them. I would really go after something that brings us back one of their 3pt shooters as well, even if its just a Raja Bell 1 year rental.

Re: Anthony Randolph on the Block
I'd be ok with him. Honestly, I could see GSW thinking about Yi/Dallas's pick possibly just because of the huge asian population in the bay area (I didn't say this trade was a good trade...just thoughts in my head).
I'd be happy to have him if we didn't give up CDR, Devin, Brook or a lottery pick for him. I still have Twill's back, but if GSW wanted him, I'd be fine moving him there.

Not quite sold on him yet but I seen good things. His game is still super raw but he's got talent and still really young. Getting away from Nelson might do him good (he seem to be his whipping boy). I would think about it in the offseason. Yi would fill in nicely for him in the uptempo GS offense. Plus give them their pick back. The only thing is that pick is unprotected I think in 2012 and if things keep crumbling in GS that pick might be a top lottery pick. If they would take Yi/T.Will/Dallas 1st. for AR and filler I'd probably do it. I like him next to Lopez.

Yi and some picks sounds like good value for him.

An out of town blogger speculates GSW is listening to offers....well.....so what.
Is there a big banner that says Screw Us..Cheap? Maybe, but I doubt it. Aside from Brook L, there's nobody the Nets could offer, unless it's attached to the Nets #1,with no protect. Even that may fail to really replace what Randolph can be for GSW.
CENSORED... No comment.

That's a gross exaggeration. Is Biedrens still out for them? They'll be fine eventually. They made a crappy deal for SJax and now they're paying for it. You don't overpay for a guy with upside unless you know he will be a stud. Though Randolph shows promise, he's not worth an unprotected lottery pick at this point or in the forseeable future in my opinion.

I'm confident in Thorn's ability to rip off G-State so if I'm the Nets I'd certainly make an offer for a legit 8-footer but wouldn't offer fair value... Maybe I'd try to sell Eduardo Najera as a Power Guardward...

We really have nothing to offer GS.
The only way this could be possible is if we take on one of their bad contracts.

Nellie loves versatility so much, he just might do a straight-up Eddy-AR trade. Just call Najera the PG/SG/SF/PF/C guorwenter!
Seriously, though, Anthony's defense is more about stat-stuffing than anything else. People think he's a lockdown guy because he has some 2-block, 3-steal games, but opposing players are still going for career-highs on those nights against Randolph. Similar to Camby, AR either makes a spectacular play on D (if he makes the right read), or get juked completely out of position and it's an easy 2 or 3 points for the other team. He's NOT what we need.
Some people really have a way with words. Other people... not... have... way.

You guys should get it right. GSw would go any trade with the Nets. We wouldn't want Yi, there's a reason why he's getting moved around. The only trade that Gsw would do is a Lopez for AR swap. We need bigs and centers, no need for another guard. And for the Jackson trade, we had to do it because he is killing the team chemistry and players actually wanted him gone. If you guys really want an 8 footers, go talk to Houston about packaging Lopez, Harris,Williams and a future first for Yao.

That is honestly the funniest thing I've seen all year and it's December. A top 5 center in the East at 21 years old for a guy, though with a ton of upside, that we can only hope can become a stud. The only time you made a trade like that is when you're trading a big contract for expirings or young players. Since they're both in their rookie deal, that's hilarious to even try to comprehend.
This has nothing to do with being greedy, that's just fact.
All Nets fans admit we lucked out totally with nabbing GSW's future 1st, but if they feel they're gonna get a guy like Lopez for Randolph, they need to wake up.
