I actually went with Paul for his defense. Gay was killing the Celtics in the first half. How many points did Gay score in the second half? Exactly.

Great, great point.

Went with Ray on this one. Hit the shot of the game, and was fairly solid overall. It was really nice to see him go 5 for 6 on threes.

Terrible point. This offense was designed to NOT NEED a point guard. Ainge and Doc have said this many times over the years. It is the reason we keep on going into the season without a true point as a backup for Rondo. There really is no "point guard" spot in the base offense. That is merely a basketball convention as far as this offense is concerned.

So why is it so much better with Rondo? That's easy: He's awesome, that's why.

Yet time after time, they always have tried to get a good PG in the offense. From drafting Banks, to trying out Jiri, to trying out West, to working well with Payton, etc... they DO need a point guard in this offense, and Rondo is turning out very well. But House is lousy.
