We need a defensive swingman because we have no defensive dept behind Kobe and Artest.
If one of them goes down we will be forced to give Walton and/or Vujacic major minutes, which means we'll be playing two guys big minutes who are both liabilities on offense and defense.
Posey and Artest can play together in a heartbeat if we were to lose Kobe for a few games.
You disappoint me. It is abundantly clear to me that the Lakers really, really need some insurance behind the teams' two most important players (Kobe and Artest). Why can't you see that?
You'll probably only see it when Walton and Vujacic are playing close to thirty minutes a game because of injury.
Ok then I have a better idea for you
Lakers get Randy Foyle (from the Wiz), and Donnell Wright (from the Heat)
Wiz get Famar, and Morrsion (from the Lakers), and Trade X from the Heat
Heat gets DeShawn Stevenson
So we that we get what we want a big PG that Phil likes, and a athletic swingman in Wright that we need, and the other two teams won't lose any cap space because those contracts will all expire after this year. So if you still what Posey fine, but I giving you another idea if either Posey doesn't workout or add to this idea I have by just trading Sasha for Posey because salaries do match if you do that alone.
