Not since Artest was on the team.

I'm glad that Evans played well tonight and was able to showcase what he's capable of in front of the whole world.

Just a great effort by the Kings. The ESPN TV crew was in love with Casspi/Donte/JT/Evans. They were really impressed with their attacking and hard work. Casspi was scoring on everything. Donte had a monster dunk. Hawes had a impressive dunk. JT put up 17/13/2blks. Beno was impressive. Noci was also huge in the game.

And of course Evans won the game and was dominant.

A couple random things not totally related to the game:

#1: Tyreke Evans is good
#2: Paul Westphal looks like Bill Murry but with more hair
#3: Anyone else find it funny about the general consensus right now (and I do mean RIGHT NOW) as opposed to 2 months ago? I've read a good number of posts from all different boards (General, PC, team boards, etc.) saying "I love the Kings' young core", etc. What was the consensus before the season started? "Kings suck", "Horrible young core that won't go anywhere", "bunch of mediocre pieces". Ahh the fickleness of the NBA fan.
#4: We need to lock Tyreke into a gym this summer and have him do nothing but take jumpers. He eats there, he sleeps there; let him bring some girls back, maybe even have a little bar in the corner. But all he does, all summer, is shoot. Jump shots, pull ups, set shots. Nothing closer than 10 feet from the basket. If he ever get even a mediocre 3pter and a decent midrange pull up game...wow
#5: Thank God next years draft is loaded with big men because this team REALLY needs help up front.

Well, as much as anything, he just needs to work more with Coachie. Practicing doesn't help much if you're practicing the same mistakes over and over.

Just got back, first thank you Westphal for not taking **** and letting Spencer sit on the bench.

Great time overall, Reke = pimp, thank you so much Petrie for this guy. Great crowd overall we even booed the lakers box score when they were announcing it the scores :D

I questioned his hops after a dunk last time.

I'm just watching the highlights, and what a steal by Evans.

And you can add Arenas to the list of opposing players who are praising Evans:

"I like him. He's 6-6 and I think he's 220 pounds. Guards that come in that size as a rookie are like LeBron and D. Wade came in at that size. They're hard to guard. I'm considered a big guard in this league and going against Tyreke I felt little tonight. He has the poise of Brandon Roy when he came into the league. He plays at his own speed and never looked flustered out there. I think it's a great pickup for the Sacramento Kings."

jesus....agent zero take that *** outta your mouth dude!!!!! jajajaja evans is plain and simple a gem...what a great steal to close out the game by evans!!!!

well one thing i want to point out is that being THIS team's first national TV game i think that even though in the second half we let the game slip, the fact that we won and pulled through while at the same time playing in front of EVERYBODY.....those are the type of wins that make you tougher....now we know our guys wont get nat. TV jitters and will come out focused and ready to play (at least at home)....one other thing.....every time omri is gonna shoot a FT....tell him he's on national tv....he'll shoot 7-8 w/ 20 points on the game.....im very happy we had 3 players get 20+ points in this game.....even happier that 2 of them are rookies....im just pumped to see more of the kings as we get better!!!!! one thing i noticed, spencer must have been in the dog house cause as soon as he came into the game.....man i saw him being productive and being aggresive and demanding the ball!!!! that's the way a big man should command himself on the court.....he comes out next game w/ the same attitude!!!!! GO KINGS!!!

i heard van gundy say something about tendonitis and not to worry and keep playing.....at that moment i saw evans limpimng a bit, so i assumed he was refering to reke....however i did not see the contact....i also didn't pay much more attention to the subject as tyreke got back to the playing and well.....we all know how that story ended w/ a clutch steal on arenas...like saying "yeah you close out games that's what you do? well not tonight....you won't even get a chance to shoot" :P

You know I agree. I think a win like this does make you tougher. Despite being at home the Wiz came out and played balls out. Arenas and Jamison both looked unstopable and attacked pretty much every time down the floor. They cut our 12 point lead down to 4 or 5 and like 3 possesions. I was pretty worried actually, but we showed confidence and I didn't see any of the impatience we've shown on the road.

With that said, wining a game like this that could of easily slipped away can be a stepping stone. I hope we can carry this out on the road with us & win 2 of the next 3.
Sometimes you just have to look yourself in the mirror and say....Tyreke Evans.
That just happened.

Glad i went to this game. The crowd was sooo loud and into every single possession. Might have to change my username in about a year.

Cant say enough about our amazing draft night...THIS is how you rebuild, dont question Petrie anymore after this...you cant.
