The guy played only 8 minutes in the past 24 games. Does he deserve a championship ring? Let alone be named in the all-star game? No.

But here's what I saw last night. Given limited playing time, I thought McGrady was quite active on both ends of the floor. On offense, he came off screens and moved well without the ball. His jumpshots looked pretty good. There was also one occasion where he got fouled by driving the ball from the low post. His defense was rusty, but the effort was there. He contested a shot and rotated to cover an open man. Overall, I was impressed, but 8 minutes isn't simply enough to predict how he'll fare over a full season.

Will he be the difference maker? Only time will tell.

EDIT: Yeah, it's unlikely that he'll be the difference maker. Reports are saying that Chicago, New York, and Miami are interested in him.

What ails T-Mac is not his body. It is his heart.

Well he doesn't control when he gets injured and when he doesn't, He played all out against Utah but the team around him sucked ass in 07 and in 08 everyone but T-Mac was unable to play even though he was playing injured. Don't you remember that game against Utah where only 4 players were able to score any points...

Any one watch the talk show from Webber on Tmac's return last nite? Link is here
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ltRRDTFOGHA

Webber shared his experience as he also had similar surgery and he support Adelman's approach to limit Tmac to just 7-8 minutes. Webber said he regret for push to play too early even though he felt great that time but suffered 3 months later.

I like Lewis as a player but he has one of the worst contracts in the NBA.

I hate Lewis's contract, but man, that's actually a tempting trade somehow.

That said, no chance it happens.

I just find trade that get Tmac back to Magic quite impossible given the way he left Magic to come to Rockets.

Return to Houston Rockets
