Two Things...

Post#1 » by TheFranchise21 » Wed Nov 7, 2007 3:24 am

Adrian Peterson has ruined two of my Sunday afternoons. After being hyped up to watch the (then) undefeated Cowboys face the Patriots, Peterson shows them up by rushing for over 200 yards and 3 TDs. Then this week he breaks the record and I lose all excitement for the Colts/Patriots showdown.

Secondly, does anyone ever suspect Chester is on 'roids or something? His arms look MUCH bigger this season. Rumor is he's always moody during media interviews.

Any chance we can get a first day pick for him? I would prefer resigning MeMo and then trading Taylor for a 3rd-4th rounder.

I'm not going to say that Chester isn't on roids but I will say that is incredibly circumstancial evidence that I really wouldn't give any credence to. And there's no chance we trade Taylor and keep Memo.

I don't think Taylor will be content with being a backup again. I want us to resign MeMo (I think he's a FA) but Childress doesn't like him for some reason. At the very least, Moore should be returning punts. Wade sucks. He has a history of dropping punts.

At this point, we have to assume Taylor isn't on roids because he hasn't tested positive.

I don't think MeMo will want to stay, I think Chester might ask for a trade as well. Let's face it, Chester is good enough to start for half the teams in this league. If we take a RB in the 3rd or 4th round this year they could easily drop them both. I am sure we could get a nice pick or a nice player out of Chester. Although, keeping Chester would be the best, since it's hard to come up with 1,200 yards back ups. Either way, MeMo and Chester will never see the light of day as long as AP stays healthy, which is why I think both will want to leave in the offseason.
"Dude, all I am saying is we already have a starting RB, his name is Chester Taylor. Besides AP isn't that good anyways. I hope we draft McFadden." --Me after he broke the record.

If MeMo was willing to stay I would be cool with it. CHester would bring some value. Problem is MeMo is more injury prone and not the between the tackles guy we would want.
