Great read. I love how Paul appreciates things like spending your whole career with one team. It's amazing how much he has grown in the last 5 years. I would love to know the answer to where KG wants his number retired though.

Paul Pierce is just as much a Celtic as Cousy, Russell, Havlicek, Bird, McHale, Parish, Cowens, Jo Jo White etc. He just had the misfortune of playing under bad management (Pitino) and losing teams. The Celtics took many years to recover from Pitino's mistakes. I was so happy when his team the Celtics won the championship and he deserves a few more. Hopefully this year. :D

I love this. The Truth gutted it out for his first 9 years, accrued amazing statistics, led bad teams to low playoff seeds for a bunch of those years, and led the 01-02 team to the ECF (with help only from Toine). He said "get me some studs, and I will lead this team to a banner". We finally did just before his tenth season when KG and Ray showed up. And guess what, he blended with these guys perfectly sacrificing some of his O, we won Number 17 in June 2008, and he was the MVP of the Finals. And we would have won last year also if not for KG's injury. AND WE WILL WIN NUMBER 18 THIS JUNE - and I betcha Paul will again be the Finals MVP. I man-love this consummate professional, future HOFER, and good guy.

Joe Biscuit - This is by far and way (by leap years) the most important contribution you have ever made to this board. I thank you.
SamIam 2010: Truth's ability to play so incredibly efficiently is so UNDERAPPRECIATED. Bballcool 2012: Amazing how great Pierce has been for so long. Continues to defy age! KG 2013: P is original Celtic. Wherever he goes, we go. This is The Truth's house.
