How do you know they're interested in Sessions?

MIN IN:Randolph, Morrow, Azubuike, Claxton

I think a trade like this means Kahn has naked pictures of Don Nelson saved for blackmail. Nobody wants to see Nellie naked, not even Nellie. Sorry I put the thought of Nellie naked in your head. It's best not to think about it.

Lol. Chad Ford stating they need help at the point doesn't mean they're interested.
He's wrong about that too. Ford doesn't know jack about jack. They definitely don't need help at the point. That's arguably their deepest position with Ellis, Curry, and Watson -- who is a very good back up.

Re: Anthony Randolph?
Why do we even need Anthony Randolph? If he was on the team right now, I would be trying to trade him too. We have Jefferson, Pecherov, Jawai, Gomes, Love, Cardinal, Hollins, and the rights to Pekovic. Shouldn't we be pursuing a swingman or maybe even a center instead?

I'm assuming people are getting the idea that we would play him at SF...yea we are stacked at the forward position and the Warriors are stacked at PG (assuming they would get Sessions), so realistically both teams don't do this.

Re: Anthony Randolph?
Over at CanisHoopus, people have been tossing around this scenario:
Minnesota in: Andris Biedrins, Anthony Randolph
Minnesota out: Al Jefferson
However, Jefferson doesn't really fit their system. Enter:
Chicago out: Luol Deng, protected 2010 1st round pick
Chicago in: Al Jefferson
However, $24 million/year worth of long term SFs Deng and Maggette on the same GS payroll isn't much better. So we need a 4th team that would want to take in Deng (or Maggette) and send out a big man for Golden State. Whaddya got?

Re: Anthony Randolph?
If I was GS I'd need a few parts.
1) decent vet big that fits the system (we don't have that unless you include al)
2) future asset for after nellie is gone to rebuild with (LAC's rights to MN's #1, Rubios rights, multiple picks, or a high value pick like nyk's #1)
3) Move vlads contract
MN can do #2 or #3 easily.
MN can do #1 with Al and ignore doing #2 or #3. Or can work a 3rd team in to help with #3, however there are so few teams that have a vet that would help gsw. Since GS isn't to concerned about the cap and their payroll is a mess. I'd assume they would actually prefer having a guy locked up for 2-3 years.

I could see the first trade from our end, but its hard to trade down. Al's inside game is one of the best in the biz, so it might open doors for GSW with a third team that their combination of players does not.
However, I don't see Luol Deng and a protected 1st to be close to the same value as the MIN or GSW packages. Deng is paid far too much for arguably a third option, and his deal runs far too long. Teams that take on salaries like this wreck their financial structure. He's played well for 20 games, but that doesn't negate what 2 seasons. Even his best attribute - his youth - might be a lie.

Re: Anthony Randolph?
Here are my various Randolph trades, I'm to lazy to type the outs for each team sorry!
Variation 1:
CHA IN: Curry, Pecherov, Watson
GSW IN: Chandler, Darko, Rubio rights
MN IN: Randolph, Claxton, Bell, Vlad
NYK IN: Sessions, Pavlovic, Blount
Variation 2:
LAC IN: Darko, Rubio rights
GSW IN: Camby, Jefferies, MN pick VIA LAC
MIN IN: Randolph, Bell, Vlad
NYK IN: Sessions, Pavlovic, Blount
Variation 3:
LAC IN: Darko, Rubio rights
GSW IN: Camby, Gomes, Hollins, MN pick VIA LAC
MIN IN: Randolph, Bell, Vlad, Jefferies
NYK IN: Sessions, Pavlovic, Blount
Variation 4 (simplified):
LAC IN: Blount, Rubio rights
GSW IN: Camby, Gomes, Hollins, MN pick VIA LAC
MIN IN: Randolph, Bell, Vlad
Variation 2 has MN taking back +3-4m cap space in 2010. Its Sessions + 3.5m 2010 capspace + rubio for randolph. Vlad could be somewhat useful in helping spread the floor for Al.
Variation 3 is probably the least fair. It ends up being 2-5m spent 2010 cap space, depending on if you assume MN will keep or cut gomes next year. I actually assume we will keep him.
Variation 4 is the simplest and cap neutral for MN if you assume we keep gomes.
I wouldn't do any of these, but might consider #4.

As a side note. I don't think the FO would trade rubio in this sort of deal.

I don't want to trade Rubio. If/when we move one of these guys I'd rather move Flynn.

Re: Anthony Randolph?
We aren't going to move Rubio's rights and Sessions for Randolph.
What about taking back Mags?
Sessions/Gomes/Pavlovic/Pecherov for Randolph/Mags?

Re: Anthony Randolph?
The round robin that works best for me (and I got a version to work, but it had so many moving parts it wasn't worth posting--too large to happen) is some form of:
Biedrins, Morrow, Randolph to MN
Al Jeff, Rubio to LA Clippers
Kaman to Chicago
Brad Miller, Noah, Sessions to Golden State
I like the idea of bringing Morrow (and Azubuike) to MN for the outside shooting. Noah would fit well in GS (and Miller is a big expiring for them), Kaman would be a huge upgrade for Chicago, Al Jeff replaces Kaman's scoring for the Clips. Picks and more players would have to move around, but I like the basics of this...

That's not a good enough return on Al and Rubio.
