Nate Robinson Considering Lakers

Post#1 » by Iamabeasttt » Mon Dec 21, 2009 10:17 pm

" Robinson does want out, and a source close to the Robinson camp tells ESPN.com there's one place the former slam-dunk champion would truly like to land if a trade can be worked out: Boston.

If that can't happen, Robinson wants a buyout, believing he will be able to sign with one of the top contending teams in the league, including the Lakers, Cleveland and Orlando -- the thinking being that he can provide the instant offensive boost for any of those teams that he once provided for the Knicks"

You wouldn't get rid of Sasha's 2 yr deal for this expiring?

Doesn't mean anything, he wants to get to Boston (let 'em have him)...obviously he "believes he'll be able to sign with a contending team" but who says LA's interested?
Thank you, Phil.

Why do all these crappy, stubborn, NY knicks want to go to Boston? Another Marbury in the making. I don't want any part of Robinson. I would however trade Sasha for him and let him sit at the end of the bench here. I wouldn't even let him sit on the bench. Just tell him to stay home.

Oh wow so Nate hopes he can play with these teams if he gets bought out........... **** Little arse NOBODY. He needs to grow up and start playing ball instead of the childish ish he does on the court like shot a 3 pointer in his own basket before the time runs out. What a loser, Even though I dispise Sasha and Farmar I wouldnt trade jack for this idiot little kid.

He's a career 35% shooter from the 3 all the while playing on a crappy team like the Knicks so he should have no trouble making more than 40% of this 3s playing on our team so I'm not sure why someone would not want him on a one year rental for someone like Adam Morrison.

He also makes high energy plays that can fuel a dull display and he'd be a welcome addition to our PG rotation while taking minutes from Farmar/Shannon and what little Sasha used to play. A 4 man rotation for backup PG/SG wouldn't be a bad idea considering we've been running playoff style rotations already.

nate is coming to the lakers for sure...kupchak has had his eyes on him for a while...i think he likes what he sees, and i wouldnt be surprised if he gets packaged for farmar....taking the starting role from derek fisher, moving shannon to the permanent backup 2 spot, and leaving sasha as trade bait for another decent role player...
i dont think this is a bad idea, considering farmar's value is at an all time high, and nate>farmar

i think there was a report on that, not 100%.

anywhoo, i'd like him on the bench, he'd adjust just like someone like ron artest has.

Our bench could always be better. I would not trade Farmar or Brown. Sasha seems to need a new start. Not sure Nate is the right player. He did ask for 10 million last summer. So he wants to get paid and the Lakers will not be the one to do that. We do not have the money to make his demands come true.
