i know what you mean, but i think their defensive numbers is actually better than it really is on paper due to the amount of point leads in the 4th quarter given up by our bench play.

Since Artest, it's all about aggressive, pressure defense. It shows alot more than what we had last year.

These numbers are a little misleading. The Lakers have been playing games vs. teams that are not that good. Great to win games, but let the Lakers beat the big boys and if they are still doing it on the defense end. Then it will make it more imopressinve and legit.

Not surprised. We're very solid with Artest guarding his man. It was really frustrating at times when both Kobe and Ariza went off to steal the ball constantly. Now only Kobe does it.

It was that game Kobe and Artest combined for 11 steals and Gasol & Bynum combined for 5 blocks

4 players straight DOMINATING!!!
Lakers are 22-3 in OT last 6 seasons:Kobe best OT closer!

Good to see the numbers because I wouldn't have guessed this. I knew we've been playing well, but a little too inconsistently for my tastes. But I am extremely hard to please. You've got to top perimeter defenders in Bryant and Artest, as well as some good size/length on the interior with Gasol, Bynum and/or Odom. Pretty good combination.
