What happened to T.J Ford?
Dude was a 14 and 8 player for the Raptors... he's young... Do you guys think it's the system? Or because he's just regressed so much because of injuries?

Probably a mix of things but overall he's just not a smart basketball player, and I'm fairly certain he has some delusions about his own ability as well. Went 3-12 tonight and did nothing for them.

LOTS of them.
As you said, he's just not a smart basketball player. He makes TERRIBLE decisions when the ball is in his possession.

Re: What happened to T.J Ford?
The simple problem with TJ Ford is that when he is on the floor for you, he is your team.
You are the Indiana TJ Fords. You live and die by his decisions.
When a guy like Earl Watson is on the Floor, he's basically non-existent and the other players make your team.
TJ Ford is a flawed player that could be an asset to a good team by not shooting. (Very similar to Jammal Tinsley)
But he has no interest in being a pass first guard. That's the issue.

Re: What happened to T.J Ford?
Do you think it has to do with the way your system is set up that he takes so many shots? I'm sure that if your couch didn't *want* him to do something... idk.. I'm not saying he'd want T.J to go 3-12... but damn...
He used to be our best alley-oop thrower... found people for cuts... in traffic... was a clutch player...
It's too bad, he was one of my favourite players, now he seems like... he's always in ME.J mode... he had those brain farts in T.O but Sam Mitchell got on his behind when he would do that.
Anyways, best of luck indy fans... glad you replied. I hope T.J finds his game.

That's BRILLIANT!! Me.J Ford, I love it!
Seriously, I don't recall him throwing an alley-oop pass the entire time he's been in Indy.

Re: What happened to T.J Ford?
I always had that problem with TJ when he was in Toronto. Dunno why half the fans actually liked him. The guy's only useful if you have a mediocre team and need someone to generate shots. If you wanna get any further than that, you should be looking for a different PG.
He actually had a few good games in Toronto where he was able to put everything together, but he dropped off in his last year.

It all started in Milwaukee, ego>ability and it's been a steady downward spiral for years.

That's hilarious, cause I don't remember them in Toronto either. Dude is just an awful player, through and through.

Re: What happened to T.J Ford?
TJ was good in 06-07 when he helped the Raps get to 47wins.
The day he got hit by Al Horford he had 26 points and 8 assists before going down. The Raptors were killing the Hawks too.
Since that day, he's never been the same. He came back a few months later and had to deal with coming back after Jose Calderon blew up and took his spot. He was then traded upon the potential Calderon had shown, and the fact that he hadn't fully recovered.
Indiana got damaged goods in that trade. And to answer the OP in what happened to TJ. Well it's obvious he got hit on the head and never became the same player he was.
