His 3 point shooting will be a nice doppleganger for Budinger missing time.

Hope he's ready for a mohawk

Yes! he's a good backup who can help us score. I don't know what he did in Greece to mess up but he played really well for us. And i laughed when some of u said jermaine taylor was the next Von Wafer. Now Wafer is about to be the next von wafer.

Wow! I did not see this coming!

What happened to his agreement with Memphis?

I don't want him taking minutes away from Chase when he returns :-? This guy was a chucker last year when we had Yao and Ron, now that we have none hes gonna shoot even more. I know hes gonna take shots away from Ariza, but Trevor is gaining a lot of valuable experience this year being put in that situation.

He's a better slasher to the basket than Ariza. It doesn't hurt to have a player like that who can drive into the lane and finish or pass to the open man.

I see this year as a year we use to develop our young guys, anything else is just bonus. I just don't see Wafer in our long term plans, so I don't see why we picked him up.

Wow. Here are some notes:

1. I love Wafer. Good offensive machine. And nice haircut.

2. This means somebody is going to be dealt. They probably found a T-Mac taker, who knows. You now have six wings and all u need are 2-3 (Ariza, Battier, T-Mac, Wafer, Chase, Taylor). Somebody is getting traded for sure.

3. Right now, the roster is still pretty solid:

C Hayes / Anderson
F Scola / Laundry
F Battier / T-Mac
G Ariza / Wafer
G Brooks / Lowry

4. I still say you gotta start T-Mac or Wafer and bring Ariza off the bench as 6th man. Or trade T-Mac for cap relief / draft picks / etc.

Wafer better play with his head screwed on better this time around....no more talking back to the coach and stuff like that....that was his issue in Greece too.

I also agree in that I DON'T want him to take minutes from Budinger when he comes back, because Bud has more upside all around than Wafer.

Ariza is not going to the bench anytime soon, since the only reason he signed with the Rockets was their agreement to let him come here for a larger role than he had in LA
