and BTW-

being a starter doesn't mean you have a big role. You can have a large role and still be an impact player off the bench - playing in crunchtime during 4th quarter.

Ariza can very well come off bench and still put down 35 minutes a gig while playing crunchtime. Sure beats his old Lakers gig with limited role.

Wafer was talking back and causing a stir with the coach in Greece too?

hmm...

I can't find the article I read a while back about it but did find this recent little article.

http://www.talkbasket.net/news/giannaki ... -2805.html

After Olympiacos-Trikala game, the day after his club released Von Wafer Giannakis was asked for the reasons the player left Greece and headed back to NBA.

According to Giannakis the American guard was simply not up for it anymore: "Von Wafer had a totally different philosophy than ours and could not adapt to the philosophy of the team. If someone is not up for it even to try, then he better stop doing it alltogether. It makes the rest of the guys (players) nervous." Giannakis said and wished Von Wafer good luck: "In any case we wish him all the best"

NBA sources told FOX 26 Sports the Houston Rockets plans to re-sign free agent guard Von Wafer fell through when Wafer did not pass his physical Tuesday night.

Sources told FOX 26 the Rockets may re-visit Wafer's situation soon.

With Wafer no longer an option the Rockets signed forward Michael Harris from the team's NBA Development league affiliate, the Rio Grande Vipers.
