Semi-OT/Uni-related: Embarrasing Packers Photo

What is with these jerseys that Chillar and Finley are wearing... everything about them looks awful and uniwatchblog.com* has been making fun of them for several weeks... The Packers are a proud franchise and they shouldn't allow this to continue... it looks bad.

Maybe I'm blind but what is the difference in appearance? The jerseys are supposed to be "form fitting" or whatever so that there is less jersey to grab. Not sure why Chiller would need to wear one, but I suppose it would make it even harder to tackle Finley.

The size and location of the numbers on the front and on the shoulders is different. Same goes for the numbers on the back, as well as the size and location of the name on the back - it's a lot smaller and lower - it looks like a knockoff. I get that they're form fitting, but they should still look the same.

Ahh I see the difference with the numbers now. I agree the numbers on the front should be higher up. I think I'm fine with the smaller numbers on the shoulders, they don't need to be as massive as they are on the older jerseys. In fact I'd be fine with no numbers on the shoulders.

If it's less easy for a defender to get a hold of Finley, giving him an advantage on the field, I couldn't care less where the number and logo are placed. I could barely discern the difference anyway.

Also, the numbers on the other jerseys are sewn on, while it appears that the numbers on the Chillar/Finley jerseys are somehow apart of the jersey and not a separate piece. Even Tausher's NFL shield isn't part of the collar of his jersey, but it is on Williams, just looks very bad...

It is just that the NFL is such sticklers on any choices the players make to set themselves apart from teammates, but then they sanction jerseys that look nothing alike...

Maybe Chillar is just very optimistic and he assumed he'd get an interception or a fumble recovery and the jersey would come in handy as he is streak toward the endzone and shedding tacklers...

He does look pretty optimistic in the picture.

Several Packers have been wearing those new uniforms for awhile. I heard an explanation last week but I don't remember what it is.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

The NFL is trying them out with a handful of players in the league. I'm not sure what the official explanation is but Finley said he just likes the form fit better.

I don't understand why they can't just make it look the same. They're ugly as hell. And I thought the NFL was usually pretty strict about players not matching the rest of their team.
