I think we should win this game pretty handily, however, I worry because it often seems we give teams a window to get back in the game at the beginning of the 4th... This is a team that we need to show our killer instinct against moving towards the playoffs... Although I'd like to see the D rebound, I would rather see the offense just destroy the Seahawks and render any possible touchdowns moot...

I believe a great bounce back from the heart breaking loss last week would be to destroy this team, which is a team we should handle easily. But with the Packers you never know what is going to happen. I see Aaron Rodgers lighting it up yet again this week and the defense forcing several turnovers from Matt Hassleback in a blowout win.

NY is hosting Carolina
Dallas is visiting Washington

My hope is Washington is so embarrassed about their performance on Monday that they actually, you know, try against Dallas.

Most likely scenario is this all comes down to the final day.

Maybe Carolina will ride the wave from their triumphant victory over Minnesota...

Hate to think of this coming down to the wire... wish we would have won last week...

"Easy" games like this scare me. Forecast now for Sunday in GB is 27 with flurries. That might be enough to make the Hawks pack it in early. It would be nice for Arizona to lose, then they'd be locked into #4 no matter what and would have nothing to play for next week. If they win (and they probably will since they play the Rams) they still have a shot at #3.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

The quad-WR reverse option statue of liberty pass back reverse fake fumble deep post to the QB play?

Word.

I'm thinking something closer to "The Annexation of Puerto Rico".

Need to win this game and need the Eagles to beat the Broncos so the Vikings have to try against the Giants.

I just have this awful feeling that both the Giants and Cowboys will win out while the Packers lose to Arizona.

Would we still have a chance at the Playoffs yet though? Isn't NY a game behind us?

If they win out, we have to win out because we lose the tie breaker with NY and Dallas (I think).

DB's right. We need to win one game and have either the Giants or Cowboys lose one game or we need to win out.

Cowboys have the Eagles in the last week and the Giants have the Vikings. So if the Eagles win both the Eagles and Vikings will have something to play for (2nd seed and bye week) and they play at the same time so they won't know what the other team does before hand.

What are the odds Brent would purposefully lose in the last week just to spite the Packers out of the playoffs if it meant costing the Vikings home field advantage? :D

Childress would probably pull him for TJack which would probably still result in a Vikings loss. Favre would never do it though because there is no way he wants to play in cold weather @ Philly in the 2nd round of the playoffs.

That to me is the nuts. We have to hope like hell the Iggles and Queens both have something to play for in week 17. It would obviously help if the Cards had zero to play for, too.

I found it amazing too. I figured even if they played on the same day, they wouldn't be on at the same time. I figured one would play at noon and the other would play at 3:15 and the other team would know if they had a chance at the 2 seed. Turns out if the Eagles win they're both going to play their starters for a possible 2 seed.

I could have sworn that in a 3 way tie it goes to head to head. And NY is 2-0 vs dallas and we're 1-0 vs dallas, thus dallas loses out. no?

I'm not going to post the whole NFL tie breaker list here but according to http://www.nfl.com/standings/tiebreakingprocedures if there is a 3 way tie for wildcard the first tie breaker is if there are two in the same division, that tie is broken first. Therefore New York's sweep would eliminate Dallas. The second tie breaker is

Head-to-head sweep. (Applicable only if one club has defeated each of the others or if one club has lost to each of the others.)

This would also seem to eliminate Dallas.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.
