"How'd you like my cameo?'' he asked sarcastically after the 102-87 loss to the Magic. "It's time for me to play. Whoever gets me now is going to get a hungry-ass player, a hungry-ass player. I don't care if I have to go to the damn moon to get it. It doesn't matter.''

"I'm not sure what to think now. If that's the case (he's not in Houston's plans), why play me seven minutes? If they want to showcase me (for a trade), give me 15-20 minutes,'' he said. "This is a contract season for me. I have to think about that as well.''

"Right now, I'm just playing my cameo role,'' he said. "But it's time to change. I'm excited about becoming a free agent. I really am.''

but then, WATCH THIS:

Unless the video has edited these parts, and not showing the entire interview, or the article is embellishing, fabricating some of these quotes.

Those quotes are BS. You can clearly see that he's being humble and patient by the actual interview.

Quotes are exaggerated. I watched this interview live after the game, and he did say he was hungry(but not hungry ass), and etc. exactly like the video, he did mention his contract year.

Video is obviously more evident, it's tracy talking for himself.

still this 7-8mins a game is insulting. mcgrady's being very professional about this, and we need to give him more time. this is just a joke. i would expect this immaturity from mcgrady's camp, but certainly not rick's. he just has a vendetta.

That article is bullcrap, the interview RIGHT after the Orlando game clearly states he didn't say any of the following.

TRACY MCGRADY:

“I just try to play my role with the little cameos that I make. It is what it is. Obviously they (Coaches) are looking out for my best interest. They are trying to monitor my minutes. At the same time, I feel like it is time to really increase them and I think that is what is going to happen over the next couple of games.”

(on trying not to come back too early from injury and factoring Grant Hill previous injuries in that decision) “I definitely factored that into my comeback. I should have done that last year. There is no way I should have been playing last season. But just having the opportunity to win something finally with the team we had and the addition with Ron (Artest), I felt like maybe I could push through it. That did not happen. So coming back from microfracture surgery I am trying to be really cautious about it. Again, I do know my body and I feel fine. It is time to really start increasing the minutes. I was cool with the plan that they had me on, but I think it is time to start increasing them.”

“I am going full out in practice and have been for awhile with the guys. I am not held back.”

“I have been hungry since I came back from my surgery. I have been hungry. I re-dedicated myself, re-focused, moved to Chicago, and worked out the whole summer there. I am not even supposed to be playing right now. That really tells you how hard I have been working. I was not supposed to be playing until January or February. If you ask anybody who has had it (microfracture surgery), you are not your normal self, and it probably took a year for it to really heal.”

(on whether he has discussed increasing his minutes with Coach Adelman) “No, I have not spoken to him so we have a couple of days. We will see how the next couple of games go. We have a back-to-back with Jersey and Cleveland. We will see how things go.”

“I know how hard I have worked and what I can contribute and bring to the team. But I have to be patient. It is a contract season for me so we have to think about that as well.”

(On idea he is being showcased for trade) “It is a business. It is what it is. Whoever gets me is going to get a hungry player. Whoever gets me will get a hungry player…I don’t care if I go to the moon. It doesn’t matter.”

In the interview he clearly acknowledges that he has to be patient with his come back and doesn't want to rush into anything he will regret

How quickly we all forget his "I'll play this game, sit one out, play two, sit a couple out, play one, sit three out.

Honestly, I am sick of it all! Play him, or ship him out, the choice is pretty damn simple.

I am tired of McGrady, here's something he hasn't learnt to say yet.

Become unfriendly to the media. don't do interviews, talk to them once you start achieving something. Until then, STFU. I swear someone needs to gag McGrady.

I see nothing but sarcasm coming from his mouth. You want sarcasm Mac. The first time we made it out of the first round in ages, was without you. Proving you aren't needed in Houston anymore. So shut up, and take it like the man you claim to be. Whining little Bitch!
