I don't know how much you have watched Kevin Love this year but he is looking damn good for us. We are quite happy with him. I'm less impressed with Mayo. If we we're going lament missing out on a shooting guard in 2008 it would be Eric Gordon. Gordon > Mayo.

Shocker; a knicks fan who doesn't know his ass from a hole in the ground. I liked the "I'm not here to troll" after he came in and spewed of a bunch of insulting garbage with no connection to reality.

OJ Mayo is one of the best defenders in the league, hes a two way player and hes a great passer and playmaker.

Come on guys, lets be a bit more respectful. I know the Knicks fans have a reputation around RGM, and this poster basically did nothing to help his cause, but come on, lets not stoop down to his level. We're better than that...

If you're not trying, it must just come naturally to you.

you are comparing a SG's rebound FG% numbers to a Power Forward's.... what sense does that make?

He also has better 3 point shooting percentages and an equal amount of assists per 36. Both of which are expected from guards more so than bigs, and both of which were considered Mayo's specialties coming into the league.

That's like saying Marcus Camby is a better player than Kobe Bryant because he has a higher FG% and Rebounding numbers...

No if Camby was also a better shooter from distance and equal as a passer it might be similar, but in reality, it isn't

I'm leaving this thread.

Something tells me that you're gonna see this anyway. :)

Good luck to ya'll.

Same to you, friend.

Edit: And for the record, Love also has more steals, more blocks, a higher offensive rating, a lower defensive rating, and a significantly higher PER.

Most Knick fans were inbred on the subway. You can't expect too much of a logical thought to ever come from them.

just sayin..

Why bring up the Mayo - Love trade?

So far this year, they're both averaging the same amount of points (16.7), assists (2.7), and free throw percentage (82.6%) per 36 minutes, and Love is averaging more rebounds (15.2 compared to 3.5) more free throws (4.4 compared to 2.9), and better shooting percentages from the field(48.1% to 46.2%) and 3pt (52.9% to 33.3%).

On top of that, we cleared a ton of cap space and used Mike Miller to get Ricky Rubio. That trade was a massive steal for Minnesota.

You know, when you respond to a post, and don't address the main points, choosing instead to pick at a small detail in an attempt to bog down the argument, every non-Knicks fan on the board can still see the main points; you've quoted them, you see. You can't just ignore what he said, as if it were the fact that no top tier free agent would sign to play 35-47 ball with Jared Jeffries and Wilson Chandler.

How long it had been since I had heard the whole Mayo is better than Love buzz, It's pretty much dead, no mummerings even.
The Dr. is correct A Massive Steal.
