ESPN - The Mets are still looking to bolster their starting rotation and free-agent pitcher Joel Pineiro could be an option.
Pineiro has been connected to the Mets, but ESPN is reporting that no offer has been made.
He went 15-12 with a 3.49 ERA for St. Louis in 2009.
