Interesting Fact about Uptempo Offense

Post#1 » by Klomp » Sun Dec 27, 2009 12:53 am

-Minnesota has a 5-5 record when it scores 100+ points. (1-19 when 99 and under)

This was a huge debate this offseason, but it seems to be working in our favor early on this year when we get a chance to run...

We're 3rd in pace yet have the 2nd worst record. So I would say it's not working at all.

You have to rebound if you want to be getting up and down the floor ... :-?

It could be suggested that Loves return has improved team rebounding, and ultimately, boosted our transition game.

I would say that says a lot more about the offensive efficiency of the Wolves, considering they are third in pace. My team in 9-1 with average pace and offensive efficiency, so I wouldn't necessarily say it has a huge impact on record.

good point MnWi. My understanding is that EFF shows that the tempo matches the talent of the team. A spurs team with high EFF plays a low pace. Phx wins not due to the tempo, but due to the EFF.

So basically it's what we've known all along; at this point we don't have the talent to win.

So the Spurs/Suns win not because of pace but because they say "EFF THIS!" whenever they get a bad call?
