Re: Help Build the Perfect Boozer Trade
A lot of Cavs fans would not want to do this, but this clears money for Utah and they also may be really competitive in the process.
Utah out- Boozer, AK47
Cle out- Shaq-Hickson-C. Karl
I know a lot of Cavs fans think we need Shaq for the Magic and Lakers...I disagree, we are a much better offensive team without him and with this trade we can field a very athletic swarming defense when needed. An Andy-Boozer-Ak47-Lebron-West lineup would be quick enough and athletic enough to double Dwight AND rotate to the shooters, and that is a very big team. We would have endless combinations of very good players. Also I watched the Orlando-Utah game and Boozer did a pretty good job of pushing Howard off the blocks. This deal is as much for now as for the future...a core of Boozer, Mo, West, Andy, AK47 would be very enticing for Lebron to commit to..that core has multiple championship potential.

Boozer-AK47
Lebron-AK47-Moon
West-Parker-Lebron
Mo-West
Utah saves about $5.6 million this year on the trade, they can cut Karl and increase the savings. They can still run out a very competitive team. Then Shaq expires giving them some room for next year.

Okur-Milsap-Hickson
Brewer

You can be athletic and swarm all you want, but when teams have big seven footers used to handle the paint, their chances of winning go up dramatically. You need a way to counter, upset, or battle against those teams who control the paint. Shaq is a big part of our strategy in that area. He's not being traded, it's probably time to accept this and move on.

Its off by a distance. Cardinal is an awful contract and he provides nearly nothing. Thomas has a poor basketball IQ wont play very many minutes. We give up everyone of our wings for John Salmons? Pass. Boozer can fetch a better deal then this. Chicago and utah are not good trading partners unless noah is involved IMO.
