Telfair's aggressiveness

Post#1 » by jdub114 » Mon Dec 28, 2009 4:50 am

Does his lack of aggression bother anyone else here? Maybe it's just because I have always been a fan of his, but he rarely tries to penetrate anymore he just swings the ball and settle for mid range J's.

I really think he would be a lot more effective if he drove to the basket more. His jumper is pretty inconsistent which is why he has games where he only gets a couple of points, and other games where he scores in double digits. He has good court vision which allows him to get other players involved, but since he doesn't drive that much to get the defenses attention he isn't always utilizing it.

Telfair has always been like that. I think its because he is much smaller than his opponents. Especially when he drives in he has to face forwards and center that can easily knock him down.
