I am a Tony Allen fan. but im a much bigger basketball fan. from watchint he two players Salmons is clearly superior . Allen has great defensive potential but that is all he has on salmons.

And if u wanna look at the stats. Salmons has been putting up monster stats ever since becoming a full time starter a few years back.

I'm about what I say homeboy. Just because Bcustom28k thinks what I say is nonsense, don't mean i'm going to regret it. As a matter of fact, if you took your time to read my previous posts you would see that I'm still sticking to what I said in the beginning. I feel as if Salmons isn't a big upgrade over Allen. I backed my point up with stats...and you can compare Salmons starting minutes to Tony, once Tony starts playing starting minutes, and actually turns into at LEAST 4th scoring option on a team. When a fan base of one of the most horrible teams in the league, wants to trade you for a bucket of fried chicken, and you're riding bench to Kirk Hinrich, who they just happen to want to trade for 2 buckets of fried chicken, your not THAT superior to anybody else. Specially not a kid who has barely scratched his full potential yet and already has the same friggin stats as you. Like I said, most are overrating Salmons because of his Playoff series against us last year..he isn't that good. But w/e...

Aight Mr.intelligent...you keep saying I don't post intelligently and say stupid things, so if what I said is so stupid, and you know better, then hit me up with some FACTS proving why it is so absurd to pick Tony over Salmons. If you can't do that, than I'm done with you. There is no point trying to have a discussion with somebody, keep hitting them up with FACTS AND STATS and all they say back is 'your stupid, your stupid'..sheesh.

Tony is one of those players where if you watch him play a good game, you get stars in your eyes and can't stop thinking about his potential. He's never been able to become consistent, though, and it seems less likely every year that he ever will. If not this year, then I think he'll always be hit-and-miss. He just seems to get a little overwhelmed on the floor and do the wrong thing. He's not stupid -- he almost always knows right away that he did the wrong thing. But he can't seem to help it.

Salmons is OK. He's currently on a team where nobody shines. As for what the Bulls would take in a trade, god knows. Their management is crap these days.

When I first moved to the Midwest, I was still a C's fan, front and central, but this wasn't a bad place to be. The Bulls, Pacers, Pistons, and Cavs were all interesting teams to watch, and I could catch a lot of their games on TV. Now, only the Cavs are still good. Chicago, Indiana, and Detroit are all flailing mercilessly. It's just unpleasant and unfortunate. The whole division imploded. The Bucks are the #2 team, for crying out loud, at .429.

But I no longer have cable anymore, anyway.

The Bulls could always buy out or waive TA if he and Scal were to be traded for Salmons. That would probably be best for TA seeing as how there are some people down in Chicago that have some sort of personal dispute with him. Wouldn't hurt us either re-signing him if Chicago is to part ways with him post trade.

I havent seen a ton of Salmons, but for scoring alone, I'd take him over Marquis.

Salmons is highly paid and I believe has a reputation as being troublesome if he's not getting minutes. They may want to dump him.

I remember how AWFUL he was with Philadelphia, one of these guys who was supposed to be decent at everything but wasn't really good at anything. He's gotten to be a decent shooter and scorer in Sacto and Chicago, but I'm starting to think he was playing over his head the last couple of years and his regressing to form a little bit.

Tony has played great since his return this year, absolutely great.

But Tony is still a worse jump shooter than Rondo, and doesn't have the height to play 3.

Salmons is still clearly better than him.

And I think if we're talking Bull/ex-Bull SFs as salary dumps...I'll take Nocioni. Unless he's really declined;haven't really seen him in a couple of years.

Salmons is in Chicago complaining about minutes. He wants to get 35-38 minutes a night.

How exactly is he going to play that much in Boston?

How exactly is he going to play that much in any other team? If ALLEN IVERSON had difficulty getting those kind of minutes, how will Salmons do it? It won't happen...

Salmons is complaining about losing his starting job to Kirk Hinrich when Kurt has chugged pube this year and done nothing to earn one. It's not exactly the I'm-a-36-minute-per-game-player-regardless-of-the-alternatives situation it's being loosely portrayed as.
