Don't mean to be trolling but just giving my input from the Cavs POV.

No way do the Cavs give up Hickson along with Z for Murphy. No way.

I'm not even sure they'd give up a 1st for him.

They'd probably give up some combination of Darnell Jackson, Danny Green and 2nd round pick(s) along with Z but that's probably it.

Murphy is good but the Cavs have other options out there like an Antawn Jamison, who likely wouldn't cost Hickson.

Truthfully, any of:

Hickson
1st Rounder
Danny Green
2nd Rounder
Whatever

are really just crap filler. Not a single one of them are of much value or are going to be difference makers. The value in a deal like this for the Pacers is the copious amounts of cash they'd save.

The other stuff are just shiny objects to distract the tourists.
I have no idea what you're talking about, and clearly, neither do you.

I'd make this deal as has been stated here and in the trade thread, if we give the Cavs Murph and they give us Big Z and a #1 in 2010 plus $3 million to buy out Z. I'd do this after we get Danny back if he's back in 4 weeks or so. The one thing I'd want is to know what Z. is gonna cost to buyout. If he agrees to take the $3 million or maybe $5 I'd do it. It saves enough money to make big difference especially on next yrs cap.

That will never happen and we don't need that contract 5 yrs to go and $46 million.

Pretty much this. Varejao is a great fit in Cleveland, and we certainly don't need his deal. No need to get him involved.

Psycho is appalled and a little bit angry at this suggestion.

Has anyone heard of any developments in the Cavs trade ideas stakes? It seems that unless they make a change that they will again fall short this year.

I know they're eyeing off a few guys (Jamison, Murphy etc) but I'm not exactly sure of the current situation.
