We don't want Martin. He's the kind of player that will get us into 7th or 8th seed land and stay there. His defense and contract would hogtie us. I'd take the chance of a rookie wing panning out over Martin.

I don't really agree. I don't know if I specifically want Martin, but it's his caliber of player that we should be looking to aquire with our cap space.

I'm warming to the idea that Pekovic should be our "free agent" this year and then do a bit of wheeling and dealing in the draft.

I don't think we cleared up all this cap space to only spend it on someone we already own the rights too. That would be disappointing. The cap space is supposed to facilitate player acquisition.

Sorry, let me explain more. By bringing over Pek, I'm assuming it would be for a reasonable deal. And by wheeling and dealing in the draft, I'm referring to similar moves to what Kahn did to acquire the Rubio pick.
