I guess we had to keep the Red Sox fan quota up.

Anyone want the 2009 MLB leader in WAR in Ben Zobrist? Make an offer.

By the way Sett, any timetable when we are going to get another owner and their draft going?

This league is looking so dead.

I am interested in joining if you have other openings. I frequent Keeper leagues, and would like to expand on that with a Dynasty. I am likely not as familiar with the minor league system other than big name prospects, but I would look forward to the additional homework and scouting.

Looks like someone can't handle the off-season doldrums. Not to worry bigboy, it's my pleasure to introduce our second expansion manager:

OldNo7

Previously known as "whosthebosh?", OldNo7 is a retired mod from the Blue Jays, Fantasy Basketball , Fantasy Baseball and VBA boards. He was also one of the co-creators of Rotofreak.com along with our old friend sly. A respected and experienced RealGM member and a feared fantasy manager, OldNo7 should bring more of a Canadian perspective to the league, so I expect everybody to offer their Blue Jays players to him and see if they can rip him off. I'm sure some of you are already familiar with him and I really think we've added two really good, capable managers this offseason.

The player dispersal drafts will begin as soon as Celtics_Champs and OldNo7 are ready to get going. The picks will be untimed and the drafts can run concurrently because they're not really related. Let's get these new teams made and welcome to the league guys.

Hey, what did I tell you about using big words. Doldrums, WTF.

And ha, like there are any Blue Jays players worth owning in fantasy. Ok, that is a lie, the two that are were traded for each other in the most shocking trade of this league. Oh, nevermind, I take that back, I have Marc Rzep, he's a badass, all those strikeouts and groundballs gets me all hot and bothered. I may be willing to trade him for your 1st round dispersal draft pick though OldNo7. A 3.67 ERA for a rookie in the AL East with a strikeout an inning, yes please.

Sett, can you flip a coin, or run a randomizer so they can get their draft started?

OldNo7 raises a couple good questions you should know the answers to before you begin:

Where did the pool of players come from? We had two managers last season become relatively inactive to the point where it was clear we needed a little new blood in the league.

Do you expand every year, or just replace inactives? Nope, we don't really expand, we just find new managers to replace the inactives.

I keep my entire roster going forward, correct? Do I have to worry about having a certain amount to 'protect' from one year to the next? You will keep your entire roster year-to-year, which is an important part of the strategy. It means you'll have to be worried about the future production of every player on your roster and not just focus on building a core to carry over.

Roster specifications/limits for both big leagues and minors? 25 major league players and two DL spots during the season and you can have a maximum of 10 minor leaguers.

Stats used? We run through Yahoo and use the basic H2H stats. So for hitters that means AVG, R, HR, RBIs and SB and for pitchers it means ERA, wins, saves, Ks and WHIP

They should be getting started soon.

By the way, watch out for this guy you two, he's a pistol. Oh, and your Rzep trade offer would both get the old "Commish veto" and OldNo7 swiftly kicked out of the league if he accepted it, haha.

Yeah, we have to wait until the yahoo baseball season starts though.

OldNo7 are we going with your getting the 1st overall, CC gets 2nd and 3rd overall, you get 4th overall and well you know the snake format.

I will take (or trade) the first pick, just so CC knows. It will be made by noon tomorrow. I am just trying to get my spreadsheets together.
