Re: Greatest Ringless Player Game -- COMMENTS
Welcome Bastillon -- THAT's the team we were all afraid of (with Orlando out of the running as the example team). Only hope is that (a) Wilt with the Warriors was offensively focused and didn't play the defense he did later on; he refused to come out on jump shooting bigs like Clyde Lovellette (according to teammates/opps -- probably from Tall Tales by Terry Pluto). And (b)when Wilt actually played with a second center in Thurmond, they had one good year but team chemistry was terrible and the next year they fell apart and traded Wilt. Of course Parish is a different player and you have the whole RUN TMC thing there too. Nasty.

Re: Greatest Ringless Player Game -- COMMENTS
personally I thought Seattle would be much nastier with Payton/Ray/Lewis/Kemp/Haywood but as always in these competitions, my opinion is very controversial and people usually don't agree with me. so I decided to go with a team that would be considered great, even if I don't think so.
btw. is it playoffs or RS ?
Wilt, my franchise player ;] , was a shell of himself in the playoffs so it's kinda important.
btw2, what's RUN TMC ?

Run TMC is a play on Run DMC that features T-im Hardaway, M-itch Richmond, and C-hris Mullin, back when they were a high-flying act.

It is regular season . . . and Seattle would be nasty if they had a center but with Sikma, DJ, and Gus ineligible from their championship they are weakened though still impressive

It has been a week since anyone posted a new team so please post your regular season writeups with the teams in the order you think they would finish (not including your own). Thanks and thanks for playing.
Note: I switched to Denver from the Braves/Clippers because I thought they were more fun and would create more opportunities for interesting comparisoms.

Well Snakebite, looks like our other GMs lost interest . . . that's the downside of not having a draft and head to head writeups, when you make it too easy people don't have the emotional investment in it. Thanks and enjoy.

I had really been curious to see how people would view my team, which was anchored by 2 players largely overshadowed by bigger stars in their era and another star I anticipate will be relatively forgotten due to his short peak.
Ah well. Looks like we lost 'em. It was a lot of fun getting to build a Pistons team this time though.

Unfortunately this isn't what I would really consider a "game" in the truest sense. IMO it is more an exorcise in memory and google than anything else.
as for getting Detroit...
they are available in the new GM a Team signup thread.

I haven't checked this since my last post. These threads are just getting hard to keep track of, and they all start with the letter G. Gotta start prioritizing, making announcements instead of mere stickies, since three levels of organization seem necessary.
Of course, I should have been checking also, since I agreed to join. Is my writeup still wanted?

And if this game IS done, can these threads get cleared or something?

Go for it . . . I have unstickied the thread, it will fall off the board when people stop posting and this is the only other thread so it shouldn't be an issue (I changed both names just for you
)
