no more LAKER games on Time warner cable?

Several places carry Time warner cable, and the deadline between FOX and timewarner is here.

Thursday night blackout of all FOX stations . . . wow.

Time Warner sucks balls.

DirectTV blows them out of the water (quality, variety, menu system, etc.), so I'd recommend that anyone using TWC switch to DTV like, ASAP. It's worth the additional costs -- not that you'll pay all that much more.

Also League Pass isnt good if you live in the Lakers home market, cause league pass would black out local games. So how are Laker fans in LA suppose to watch Laker games? WTF did anyone think of this?

The greedyness of the modern day businesses is beyond believable. I knew major corporations don't care much about their consumers but this just shows that they flat out do not give a crap about the audiences at all. I look forward to the day when they go out of business.

dude I've already been pissed I can't get a package to watch my NFL team due to their bullcrap ideals, now this? Seriously, I hate Fox, but if TW thinks they can get away with losing Laker games they are headed for a definitive bitchslap. Might as well try New Coke again dumbasses.

I also have TWC and I thought it was only for the Fox channels. I did not think it would be for the Lakers channels. Wow. All they want is 1 dollar more. Does not seem like that much extra. I really care less if they take away the Speed or Fuel channels. Same with the Spanish speaking ones. They can have those. Just leave me the ones I want.

This will piss me off.

I pay for league pass with Time Warner. I live in San Diego and FSW is my home game network. Leaguepass is my road network. At the very least if they cut FSW games they better put them on League pass
Cheers. — Mags

Below are the channels that Time Warner is saying will go off in the Valley. Fox Sports West 1 is not one of them. Most every Laker home will still be there unless they are lying. KTTV is the local FOX channel and the home to American crap Idol and what this fight is really about. I may have to get an attenna to get FOX now, but who cares about the rest of garbage below. If FOX gets away with this and you switch to DirectTV expect every other Major Network to do the same to DirectTV. I like TW and don't want to change but it seems to me that they are lined up with the crappier major stations (CBS (I like) or NBC). Not sure who ABC is lined up with. Who cares about bowl games. Untill there is a playoff I have already stopped watching. FOX will lose a lot of money if they don't have TW subscibers, especially if the NFL playoffs start. Don't switch to DirectTV and make Murdoch pay for his powerplay.

"The following channels in your lineup could be affected by our ongoing negotiations with some programmers:
•Food Network
•Fox Reality Channel
•Fox Soccer Channel
•Fox Sports World Espanol
•Fuel
•FX
•Great American Country
•KCOP
•KTTV
•Prime Ticket (Fox Sports West 2)
•Speed Channel"

I will make a prediction for you all. FOX does not go off the air on TW. The Democratic Congress may punish FOX for this powerplay if they follow through and we may all pay in the long run. I really wish TW was the FOX owner cable/satelite comapany because it would be easier for me to dump 1-NBC, 2-ABC(ESPN), and 3-CBS then FOX if it means the Lakers.

I saw an ad on bright house saying it was FX and a few others but not Fox, Fox news or FSN West. Maybe its different in other areas.

I am mad that FauxNews stays. Take Faux news! Id give up FX and the entire list and even add in extras (minus FSW1) if they would just take FauxNews away.

Why does this always seem to happen with TWC? A couple years ago this happened with Viacom, and I think TWC was involved too.

Remember the ads featuring a crying Dora the Explorer?

I think those channels went dark for all of 15 minutes or something. I'd be very surprised if a deal wasn't in place by breakfast time.

I've got Comcast so this whole thing isn't an issue for me :P I'd switch to Dish, but I don't live in the LA area so the dish providers aren't allowed to carry KCAL.
