If Gabe Pruitt were still on our bench, people would be asking why we arent giving him a chance to play... still.

Gabe Pruitt is also out of the league now, and thats most likely where Giddens and Walker will end up in a year or two. Lester Hudson might stick around in an Eddie House role if he gets the right breaks.

r2g, what have you seen that even gives you the slightest argument that giddens deserves to play?

He can defend and rebound. And Giddens is a decent shooter. WTF can Scal do?

There is of course a difference in the caliber of team that earlier rookies broke into the lineup on.

But to answer the question at hand, for Walker my guess is next year, for Giddens my guess is only elsewhere, and for Hudson (bonus answer!) my guess is in February.

Oh really? When has he done this at the NBA level. Truth is Giddens is on the team that Ryan Anderson just flat out abused in SL. And while honestly Ryan Anderson is a nice bench player (kinda like a Scalabrine that actually exercises) that's not much of a best case scenario for him.

You have to remember (and people said things like this about Pruitt too) is that our 'scrubs' against lower levels of basketball players have been dominant as well. Marcus Banks abused SL. Hell so did Kedrick Brown. Brian Scalabrine was named one of the top players back in 2003 - in SL.

My feeling is that if your force fed Giddens enough minutes with his athleticism he would indeed "out number" Scalabrine. But his childish foolish play and lackadasical attitude likely means he is at best a poor man's Gerald Green..

Scalabrine is more limited but a overall better player then Giddens at this point in the eyes of Rivers - and from what I have seen from Giddens I tend to agree with him. Good luck on this lost cause though..

Agreed. Scal takes a lot of abuse, but knocking him on the Giddens standard is just offensive.
