Adam Morrisons brief appearances...

Post#1 » by slickgreek » Thu Dec 31, 2009 6:32 am

I cant be the only one noticing his brief appearances in crucial stretches. It seems like Phil is giving him a chance to play and to see what he can do. Unfortunately he still doesnt have the confidence to pose any serious threat, but we all know what he is capable of doing. I personally think Mitch is showcasing him for trade bait, to package him up with Farmar. What do you guys think?

Yeah last time we did this with a guy named Javaris Crittenton.......he was traded weeks later. Remember the best trades that go through are the ones you never hear about.

Crittenton was a future star according to half of the people posting here. Anyone believe that with Morrison or Saaha or Laker to be named later?

I don't think we need to showcase Morrison for trades. His only value is as a significant expiring contract and nothing else. The only reason he is playing is because we have no other SF on the roster right now that isn't injured. Both Artest and Walton are out with injuries, which leaves Ammo the only other SF for us.

BTW, Crittenton is going to be a FA this summer, anyone think we should look to bring him back? We all saw that he could play but he hasn't really been in the right situations since he left here. I'd be all for him replacing Farmar next summer in our pecking order.

^ wizards fans were dissapointed that he injured his ankle, they think Critt woulda been a key part..Saunders was also pretty high on him.

They also said Critt was their overall best point guard

Yeah, Morrison is the only SF left with Walton and Artest out. Everybody's wanting him to step up a little bit 'cause this is the only chance for him. I think most likely, we are trading him mid season.

To play like an allstar against scrubs(and by scrubs I mean NBDL type scrubs, not NBA), but completely suck against good competition?

I think that Ammo was not being showcased for a trade. if that was the case Phil would have started him while Artest was out. I agree that he is playing now because he is the only SF we have available.

We dont need to showcase AMMO to trade him

The scouting report says enough: EXPIRING CONTRACT
Lakers are 22-3 in OT last 6 seasons:Kobe best OT closer!

Memphis fans were also high on him and the franchise wanted but they thought conley and lowry were better. I mean, everybody thinks he's something but i don't see it.
