Good news of Glen Davis

Post#1 » by return2glory » Thu Dec 31, 2009 10:45 am

The ankle isn't a worst as it was initially reported. Davis is expected to be back possibily as soon as the game on Saturday. This is great news. We need Davis to get going with KG out. We are all finding out Rasheed is not the answer as a starter.

I'd start Davis over Rasheed. Get some hustle and offencive rebounding in there.....some times I think I'd start Davis over KG even.............

return2glory: I'd start Davis over Rasheed.

bendyone: Heck, start Glen over KG even.

GuyClinch: Nah, Sheldon is your man. Start 'im.

Doc Rivers: Thanks for your input, guys. It's settled then. Scal will start.

This made me laugh for a couple of reasons, one being that it would probably actually happen

With Pierce and KG out...

I would start Walker, Baby, Perkins, Ray and Rondo....why not try some different combos?

AND bring Sheed, Tony and Eddie off the bench....and if someone got in foul trouble, go to Williams or Scal and Giddens or Hudson....

One thing about Sheed... when he's not on, he needs to STOP shooting threes, pass off and just play defence....

I want to see Walker play with the first unit!

Thinking he would be a better fit than Tony? :)

As far as Doc starting Scal.....

Doc is too predictable, to regimented, and to too stuck in his ways.....He needs to loosen up IMO....

Why not use the fact that KG and Pierce are out to try something new?

Please stop blaming the coach. Our two best players are out - your not going to win alot of games when that happens. You think without Kobe and Gasol the Lakers would be beating the Suns?

Gotta keep starting Sheed. Tell him to beast cats in the post and not shoot a 3 til you make 3 Fg's...

Good that Baby is comin back..

Id go

Rondo/Ray/Giddens/Sheed/Perk

Hudson/House/Allen/Big Baby/Sheldon

LMAO. You're right. The only thing that prevented Scal from playing 40 minutes in the Suns game was his 6 fouls.

I would actually give Davis a few more days rest. There is no sense rushing him back with KG, Pierce, and Daniels still out. I would rest Rondo too.

Since we are going to lose anyway on Saturday, I would sit out Ray too. Give him a few more days of rest.

My starting lineup would be:
SF: TA
PF: Williams
C: Perkins
SG: Giddens
PG: Hudson

Bench: House, Walker, Wallace, and Scal.

I don't like setting ray and no sense in setting rondo either.
but playing scal over and over with no production or any points in the last 4 games is a coaching problem. I however don't blame doc for the loss. He needs to play walker and hudson, williams has been a bright spot and davis took his minutes didn't even try to play him but playing scal over williams is a bad coaching move.
And walker at the 3 is better than scal and I think williams could be better than scal there too at least he'd get rebound and 5 points.
Anyway guyclinch is right we loose are 2 best that's the issue but we should give out pt to the 2nd yearers and rook. So im half and half there.
