we took Al out of the game, toward the end of the 1st half Al was en fuego and they didn't get him the ball. He looked unguardable and we couldn't capitalize. Only 15 shots for the game isn't enough. Also the rebounding: Okur and Boozer are beast rebounders, but I think we have the best in the NBA and we weren't cleaning the defensive glass like we should have. Maybe Brewer and Wilkins could've helped out more.

Maybe he is leaking out too much in anticipation of the outlet pass? If he doesn't leak out, that negates one of Love's strengths, but there is obviously a cost to doing it too much. Or maybe he just isn't rebounding as aggressively, I've hardly seen any games this year.

I'm not saying Love needs to shoot every time we feed him. It just seems like he makes so many great decisions once he gets the ball down there. He either makes a great pass or gets to the FT line.

He's around the perimeter more now due to an improving jumper. Also, it's tough to add a dominant rebounder such as Love without it cutting into somebody's rebounding numbers. Brewer was averaging around 5 boards a game before Love came back (not too far off his rookie pace), which has dropped to around 3 per game since Love's return.

I think part of it is due to playing mostly SG this year, as opposed to SF his rookie year. Also, that year there were no dominant rebounders outside of Al. This year, we have Love.

Klomp, it's a bit disingenuous if you don't mention that the 07-08 numbers were posted in about 21mpg, while this year's numbers are coming in about 31mpg.

Probably isn't where this post belongs, but Wayne Ellington is averaging ~45% from the field in December, WAY up from ~30% from the field that he was shooting before December.

Slightly cherrypicked small sample size in hopes Ellington has hit his stride.

I wasn't a big fan of Ellington going into the draft, but I really like him now. Like Peterson and that smug looking midget that does the halftime/postgame show were saying last night, Ellington just looks like a player. He's much more athletic than I thought, and better off the bounce as well.
