Shelden Williams tweeted something along the lines of

"I understand where crittenton is coming from, the 150k means more to critt than arenas."

Money brings people unwanted people. Remember Iverson rolling with his old home boys. He had to cut the ties. I bet some players think they will get jacked and need some form of protection. Guess leaving in a 300,000 dollar car is not the best idea. Thats just an example. Dudes need to hire protection.

What ever happened to the big dude that protected Shaq...

Brings me to the first point, why were these guys gambling at high stakes and with each other? I mean that's obviously a fineable offense in the first place and then you lose, you refuse to pay and produce weapons in a heated debate. Its all a slipper slope after the first mistake.

more to the story

Sources say that Arenas, in response to what was said on the flight, placed three guns he owns on a chair near Crittenton's locker stall and invited him to pick one before practice on Dec. 21. Sources said that Crittenton subsequently let Arenas know that he had his own gun.

from ESPN

seems as though Crittenton was defending himself

i mean, Arenas pretty much told Critt that hes going to get shot at

That's what happens to you after Shaq sleeps with your woman.

wow Arenas is an idiot.....I always thought he was a great basketball player but he had a big mouth. The guy is too cocky for his own good and now it may have caught up to him. He never ever accepts blame for anything, he thinks he is the best and now he refuses to payup and tries to act hardcore??
Wasn't a few months ago this dork called out Caron Butler?

Besides the firearm issues, aren't there any rules against illegal gambling??? Both of them are screwed, as there isn't too much tolefance since the Donaghy issue.

I guess thats one way to demand a trade.

Lets sign Crit for the min and if he cant change his attitude he can be the Lakers body guard.

he can't have a gun in the arena/practice facility so at best he's still violating a part of his contract.
and you know that for a fact?

every nba contract forbids it.

I don't think it's an issue of financial security. At all. It seems more like an issue of bragging rights. We all know how highly Hibachi thinks of himself...
