Ok well I was doing some thinking and wanted to hear what your opinions were on AK.
Well, as most of you know our 7th round draft pick, Brad Jones has come to surprise us all at the LOLB position. What are your thoughts on keeping Kampman around and sliding back to the position he plays best, LE?

Re: The Kampman
Kampman can't play end in the 3-4. Too small.

Re: The Kampman
That is why I really wish we would have shopped Kampman harder during the offseason. It was almost unanimous that people thought Kampman would not fit in the 3-4 as an outside backer. He is one of the best in the league at rushing the passer with his hands down and I wonder if we could have got a 2nd rounder for him in the spring. Now he will basically be lost for nothing as I am sure we will not re-sign him

Re: The Kampman
He won't be back. He won't even be ready until summer, if that early and he just doesn't fit our defense. He'll also turn 31 next season.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Re: The Kampman
It will suck bad losing a guy with his ability for nothing in return. If only we could get a stud DB for him

Re: The Kampman
The only way we could get something for him is to tag him and trade his as we did with Williams a couple of years ago. But he'd get a very high tag number and you can't risk that with a guy who blew out his knee.

Re: The Kampman
Its too late to do anything with him right now. All we can hope for is he re-signs for cheap. plays well and then trade him. Probably wont happen.

Re: The Kampman
We should have dumped him for anything we could get. He looked average at best, and teams were scheming to get him into coverage. We will just let him go.
