The Venting Thread (2016-2017 Edition)

Post#1 » by SOUL » Sun Jan 3, 2010 3:34 am

Yeah, we're 24-9.. but could we have a venting thread? Please?

**** **** **** ****!

I've never seen a team with so much potential struggle so badly. And continually get beat on the offensive boards like we do.

My frustration begins with Dwight Howard and ends with Vince Carter.

Rashard Lewis is somewhere in the middle.

Dwight is sucking. Vince is sucking. Raw Lew is sucking. Jameer is sucking. Have 4 'all-stars' sucking simultaneously and you lose.

I like watching the Grizzlies play. They're young, talented, and have so much heart.

ok first i'd like to vent my frustrations on the fairweather fans we seem to have and the constant bashing of players not even close to deserving of such posts.

second. this team seems to just coast waaaaaay to much for my liking. it's like they aren't even wanting to play basketball until the playoffs begin.
THIS MAGIC FAN HAS HIS HEAD HELD HIGH... NO MATTER WHAT.

I wish Dwight Hward would get a short jumper.

Of course he will, but after he leaves the Magic.

You guys see what I did in that first sentence?

I hope people can vent in this thread and then turn back to reality.

Right now after this game and even in some/most of the wins I'd say lazy is what this team is, I think the offense has a bit to do with it the just launch 3s and then there's effort which is not there and hasn't been there.

It just seems like teams can get to the lane with ease and once Dwight goes up to block his man is open or an offensive rebound is made. Hopefully this loss is a wake up call but knowing this team I'd say were stuck with it and next game it will be the 3s will be made and all is forgotten but sadly it will eventually come back.

I always try to keep my head on straight in the face of all those guys who are panicking, asking for trades, or seeking extreme measures to remedy the situation. Right now though, I will use this thread for what it's for, ranting.

1. Fire Ewing. Dwight Howard's offensive game has not improved much in the last couple years or so. His disappearing acts and general ineptitude on offense are glaring weaknesses that can be exploited by any team on any given night.

2. Stan Van Gundy's rotation schemes are suspect.

3. Vince Carter needs to stop launching those long 2-pointers and 5-pointers. His shooting percentages are at a career-low right now and it's easy to see why. I don't think it's a coincidence that his best games this season have been characterized by him getting to the line and taking it to the rack. Those long bombs, contested jumpers, and wide open fadeaway jumpers are not gonna get you anywhere! Get it into your damn head!

4. If Nelson is still hurting, even a bit, sit him out!

5. Play Brandon Bass.

6. This team is not championship-caliber

7. Our 24-9 record is rather deceptive. We are not in the same echelon as the Lakers.

8. The only thing we do consistently is blow leads, and fight tooth and nail with bottom-dwelling teams.

9. Our wins have not been very convincing either. It's been rare to see the Magic actually put a team away in a systematic or planned manner. Instead, we somehow manage to narrowly escape defeat only in the final quarter or closing minutes of a game. Luck has been a more common theme in our victories than actual dominance.

I think it's safe to say, being half way though the season, that Hedo is better winner, and better fit for our team. Earlier today i went back and watched some of the Cavs games from the ECF. Hedo was the man out there.

Am I the only one who would rather be a fan of an overachieving average team that nearly misses the playoffs, then a fan of this magic team, right now.

I absolutely hate having high expectations and then watch as my team can't live up to it

It is very frustrating watching Dwight at times, it seems like he is always gonna need someone to keep him motivated to play on both ends. Stan Van Gundy might have to leave another note in his locker or something. Hopefully someday he can fuel his own fire and reach his potential.

Fire Ewing and Hire me.. I could outperform Ewing... Dwight is starting to look pathetic on offense.

Ryan Anderson shot 4-11.. Not a good shooting night.. Gonna have a lot of people askin for Bass..

Gortat looks to have taken his money and disappeared..

Redick was absolutely dreadful today too in that first half..

and lol @ Vince Carter 3-15 performance in general.
