Does Boston still owe us a future 1st rd pick?

Or is Jay-Z an idiot?

1. July 31, 2007: Trading away a superstar Unable to seriously contend with him and unwilling to pay him another $60 million, the Wolves traded Kevin Garnett -- the franchise's face for 12 years -- to Boston for five players and two draft picks, the NBA's biggest deal ever for a single player. KG won an elusive NBA title his first season there. Al Jefferson, Ryan Gomes, Wayne Ellington and a future first-round pick remain with the Wolves.

They gave us back our own, but no, they don't owe us one of theirs.

I don't know, he didn't say Boston owes us a future 1st rounder, he said just said a future 1st rounder, amongst other players, remain with us (which is technically correct). If pressed, I'd err on the side of idiot.
"A while back,'' Cardinal said, "I took a picture of the standings and texted it to Love, just to bust his chops,'' Cardinal said. "He sent me a picture back of a snowdrift.''

They did give the team one of their firsts in the Garnett trade, maybe he's referring to that? For those that don't know it's the one that became Wayne Ellington.

He included Ellington in the KG bounty, don't think he's referring to that.

maybe he's referring to the pick we originally traded to Boston in the Ricky Davis/Wally deal but got back in the KG trade? technically it's a future 1st rounder as Boston would have had it first after we payed off our debt to LAC.

This.

The pick we owed Boston from the Ricky Buckets trade was to be conveyed two years after our debt was paid to the Clippers, OR a 2nd round pick in 2012 if it wasn't paid to Boston by the end of the 1st round in 2012. Meaning we didn't give the Clippers a pick until the 2010 draft.

So technically we haven't used the pick that Boston sent back to us that was our own.

Meaning unless we have a dramatic finish this year and give our 2010 pick to the Clippers, the 2nd 1st round pick we got from Boston becomes actually a 2nd rounder.
