Andrew Bynum Laughing??

Post#1 » by iamreggiepaige » Sat Jan 2, 2010 6:47 pm

why was bynum laughing on the bench right around the 3-2 min mark in the 2nd quarter when we were down by 20 to the kings??

it seems like im the only 1 who can tell he has no concern over his play or what happens to this team..ever since he got that huge extension last year he has changed..

how do you struggle-playing with kobe ron ron and pau
and your being coached by PJ and Kareem and your plaayin for the lakers? lol

Yeah I saw the giggling too........he's gotta cut that B.S. out during games, especially when your team is getting busted by a dub.

Yeah I saw it too. But I think it had more to do with a foul call that they all thought was ridiculous.
Thank you, Phil.

I think the change in him has more to do with Rambis than the extension. Either way, he needs to step up and be a force again, otherwise he isn't doing us a lot of good.

He's always done that...

But I think Powell pretty much talks **** all game and gets the bench guys going.

Bynum isn't the only one that seems to be cutting up at the wrong times.

That aside... I do think Bynum isn't the most intense compettitor at times and isn't always as into the game as his team is.

You know as bad as he is doing he is still avg like 14 and 8. 3rd best center in the West.

He will be better. The main thing is to get him through Jan and to finish the season for the 1st time since he blew up.

On this team I would rather he works on defense 15/12/3 vs 20/10. Give us what we need. Also young players are inconsistent.

I was actually pretty annoyed when I saw that. He's a professional basketball player who's making millions of dollars. Instead of grabbing offensive rebounds and playing solid D he's giggling like a little girl while the team is down 20. How do you even dare display that when you're a teammate of Kobe Bryant perhaps the player who takes the game more seriously then anyone else in the NBA? I will also remind you guys that this isn't the first time this has happened. He was doing the same thing while we were being blown out in the Finals against the Celtics. I'm pretty fed up with this dude.

Plus his play has fallen off so drastically he has absolutely no room for that crap! Drew you better get it together!!

That's exactly what I thought in the context of the game.

If I'm Phil I'd bench Bynum and start Odom and Gasol together. Gasol and Bynum just DOES NOT WORK, they clog the paint too much, and the passing is just not fluid. Bynum is a freaking blackhole, the ball stops in his hands. We start Odom and Gasol since they work together, bench Bynum and have him play with the second unit. Kobe, Gasol, Bynum, and sometimes even Artest needs space in the paint, and unfortunately with the way Bynum has been playing, he is the odd man out.

wow, tough crowd here. He might be "giggling" about something that is totally unrelated to the game.

i got to agree, seeing any player giggle when our team is down is kinda hard to watch, especially when they're getting paid millions, and fans like us take time out of our day to watch this team...

but on the flip side, fans really have no clue what those guys on the bench are talking about...after all, they are still humans, it can be anything from an ingame call to an inside joke..we really cant tell..and the fact that basketball is actually their job, so they kinda know what they're doing out there, whether we think so or not

all in all, talk about letting bynum go for a stud pg is foolish. red auerbach once said something along the lines of never trading a big man for a small man, and in the game of basketball, this is a very true statement...especially if your big man has such tremendous upside.

I disagree with the big man little man thoery. I'd just go by the skill level of the players. I'd trade bynum for wade any day of the week

wade, bynum, youre talking about a superstar for a sub-all-star...

of course anyone would do that deal.

why dont you try trading bynum for a similarly talented little man with "star potential" like rajon rondo??

i doubt youd be so quick to trade bynum
