Should We Target Hilton Armstrong?

Post#1 » by BigSlam » Mon Jan 4, 2010 12:17 am

The wire is saying the Hornets might look to move him. Does he play too much like a C or could he give us our back up mins at the PF spot.

Trading Acie Law straight up for him works $$$$ wise - and it`s not like Acie is getting any burn here.

Here is some info on him:

Can we trade Chandler for him? Chandler and his stupid tie on the bench was irritating me tonight. Plus all of the sudden Diop is earning a portion of his salary.

I stayed optimistic about Armstrong for quite some time, even heading into this season, but I think I've finally come to the realization that the guy just doesn't 'get it'. Perhaps a change of scenery or perhaps Larry Brown can motivate him. He's a big lazy slug out there. I'm tired of him looking like a pansy whenever he's on the court. Hornets fans have been known to call him "Paris Hilton". And it doesn't look like he takes anything seriously at all. But hey, if you think he can help your team, and who knows, maybe he can, then yes, please target him.

Doesn't work $$$$ wise.

But Law for Armstrong does.

Slam, I think it's a great idea. I'm not sure the Hornet's want to give him up for Law, but it's certainly a potential for potential swap. I still don't understand why Law isn't sticking at these teams, but there must be something he's not doing well within the practice environment that keeps him off the court. Here we have a log jam with Felts and DJ, and that's not changing this year.

Armstrong would give us a big 4 with some offensive game. I'd love to see what he could eventually do paired with the starters, and bring Diaw off the bench to fill in at the 4 and 3. Armstrong could give us a little burn at the 5 also.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

Traded to the Kings WITH cash for a future conditional 2nd round pick.

The Kings seem to have a lot of bigs these days?
