A couple of shocking results this week:

1. Blake, the #2 team in the L, gets past struggler insfo by a measly 3 rebounds. This was the same insfo that was horrible against even my team :o

2. Skai, who was skunked 9-0 by Blake last week, responds by beating theman 5-4 :o

The group of the haves and have-nots are starting to show signs of separation. I think the top five teams (Coady, Blake, Carl, Kohanz, AlciG) look pretty good, and I'm clearly the most vulnerable one in 6th place, despite being 3 games clear of Brian, 7 of theman, and 8 of ham.

Yes, going into this week we thought it was a prime opportunity to get back in the playoff hunt. And I don't like to make excuses. However,

CDR 1 Game
Pierce 3 Games
Carmelo 2 Games
KG 2 Games

That's Eight games missed by top 60 talent. Add to that Redd was still a little shaky, so it was more like 10 games. Despite all that, had we hit free throws like we usually do, we would have come away with a win.

Our team is in a bit of a bind right now. With Kevin, Troy, Rudy and Mike all under wraps. We're just trying to stay in the PO picture until everybody is back healthy.

Also the situation with Gilbert is a bit of a distraction as we don't know what will happen there.

So all in all we're in survival mode.

My team is very...shall we say, inconsistent.

Sorry, but that trade can not go through.

theman wrote:HUGE TRADE ANNOUNCEMENT

It is with great sadness of heart that I announce TheTeam has traded the great Shaquille O'Neal to the RamblingMatadors (aka writersblocker) for a 2012 second round draft pick. The Big Aristotle was an original member of The Team (when we were know as The Men) and provided through the years great scoring, rebounding, shot blocking and legendary field goal percentage. He even provide a lot a assists from the center position.

We will miss the big fella but feel it was time to move on. We wish him well in his new endeavors.

Sorry guys...totally forgot I had dealt my 2012 for Shaq. I'll have to work out something else with Sly so this one has to go on hold for now.

So, if you're giving up on the present, and are looking to trade your proven guys for youth or picks to a team looking to win now, let me know. I have lots to offer.

I think WB sees that as a win now move.

Actually, I see it as both. I think Rasual will help me stop my slide out of the playoff race, and frankly, 2nd round picks aren't all that valuable anyway. The deal with me and sly only includes my 2nd rounder in 2011.

This year I've been in a really weird predicament. I started the year anticipating a less than stellar performance, and I had my sights all but set for total rebuild. Then I started winning, and winning good. So I started making win-now moves. Those blew up in my face, so now I'm in a holding pattern...not convinced I can win now, but hoping not to fall further.

This was directed at the league as a whole, not just WB.

Would like to either:
- make a trade where I trade two of mine for one of yours
- trade Jose Calderon
- trade Blake Griffin

Again, I don't want to be taking on more players than I am sending out.

I'd like to thank theman for dropping Foye. It looks like he'll have some opportunity with Hibachi on ice.

I would like to voice my displeasure with Javaris Crittenton. Why didn't he try to collect a couple days sooner.

I had a choice to make between Foye and Ellington and at the time Ellington was player just slightly better. Insane Wayne had moved into the sixth man position in Minn while Foye had dropped out of the starting line up Washington. In the long run it is probably a toss up as to who will be better.

I must say, being relieved of Commish duties has really made this league fun again for me. Having a competitive team this season without doing anything drastic has also helped.

My team is causing me headaches atm...

No Kevin Martin
No Gilbert Arenas
No Troy Murphy
No Rudy Fernandez
No Mike Miller

I feel like the Portland Trailblazers
