Unfortunately for Portland Oden has been out injured more than he has seen the floor so far in his young career. I hope he can avoid the injury bug down the road cuz I would like to see what he can become if healthy for an extended period of time.

As for injuries being judged last game, they along with exorbitant salary relative to market and title chances were part of the judging process. Some GMs just didn't seem to grasp those issues completely when ranking teams and some did.

I know as commish I considered Yao's injury in not having him opt out of his contract. The same thing could happen to guys like Pryzbilla and Azubuike this go round. No point to them opting out when they haven't been able to show what they would like suitors to see during a possible contract year.

I saw Sabas made a post similar to this earlier, so I'm going to post my stance on all my players.

T.J. Ford - He's not as bad as some people would make him out to be, but he isn't what we need at point guard for the Pacers. That being said, he isn't going to cost a whole ton of a lot, so please do send me offers.

Earl Watson - He's a veteran presence that I'd love to hold onto in a trade, so that when I acquire a youngish point guard that I like, he can help mentor.

A.J. Price - He's on a dirt cheap contract for a third string point guard, so unless he is a salary filler, I'm not all that interested in moving him.

Travis Diener - Again a pure filler contract that is an expiring contract, so any team that is looking to get under the cap or further under the cap, come talk to me about him.

Mike Dunleavy Jr. - He has really reinvented himself in Indiana, but with the way I'm looking to take the franchise, I'm not sure he fits what I want. He's not going to come cheaply, but the right combination of picks and players can get him.

Brandon Rush - Again I'm not actively shopping him, but I'm willing to put him out there for other good, young, cheap talent.

Luther Head - Pretty good scorer off the bench on a cheap contract that would be an excellent filler in a trade.

Danny Granger - My biggest fish. Let me be quite clear, I DON'T have to move him. It's going to have to be a deal that overwhelms me, i.e. good young, cheap proven talent, picks, and expiring contracts.

Troy Murphy - Again like Dunleavy, he is just too big of a luxury for me, so I will be shopping him around. He's a good shooter and a good rebounder, so playing next to a player like Dwight Howard would be the perfect fit.

Tyler Hansbrough - The perfect sixth man IMO, much like Joakim Noah. Not actively looking to trade him, but would for the right offer.

Jeff Foster - He's on a very team friendly contract, so I have no incentive to move him. It will take a pretty good trade to get him and he is most definitely not a throw-in.

Roy Hibbert - He's going to be hard to get and IF Granger gets dealt, he goes to untouchable status.

Solomon Jones - Pure cap filler.

Again, feel free to offer on all of my players.

Exactly what I mean by GMs value injuries differently. Yao was considered hurt all the time and his value was extremely low, same for Oden when rankings by GMs were submitted. Some players just get labeled and if the GMs dont take different injuries with the same grain of thought in their rankings it makes rankings skewed. Other players who were also injured were considered healthy because usally they are healthy. Maybe this go around before voting I will make it clear what we are doing.

...And this is why starting the game immediately was a mistake.

I forget how it worked last game, but I think we said if a player was out more than 6 weeks, they were considered injured, while anything less was considered healthy.

ok, so it seems we are going to stick to the rules that were in place from the beginning.

Players who were injured before the game started are going to be injured. If they come back in real life then they are not injured anymore obviously.

Players who are out for the season are considered out for the season.

sorry to anyone who this affects, its been the rule from the beginning.

anyone who gets injured since the start of the game is not injured.

yet another list for me to compile.

Got it. So Oden is out "indefinitely" (says there is a chance he comes back before the season is over) and Przybilla is done for the year. Batum/Rudy are back this month and Outlaw is back for March.

Currently fielding offers for Aldridge and Fernandez.

Unfortunately Oden probably won't be back before this GM a Team game runs it's course but for both his and the Blazer's sake I hope he comes back before the season is done.

Pending confirmation on a trade, I'd like to announce that Phoenix's Jason Richardson is now no longer being actively shipped, he will remain in the starting lineup unless I get an offer of 2 good swingmen (SG & SF) in return. He would be a useful asset for anyone wanting cap relief in 2011, and I am willing to accept longer contracts in return.

Pending approval, I will also have Adam Morrison on the roster. For any teams looking to remove long-term salary, please come my way. I can now package the following 2010 expirers:

SF - Adam Morrison - $5.25m
PG - Shannon Brown - $2m (2011 player option)
PF/C - Jaron Collins - $1.18m
PF - Louis Amundson - $0.85m
PF - Josh McRoberts - $0.83m

Basically I can trade 4 of the above and take back up to $11.6m in salaries, so if you've got anyone on the block who might tempt me, send me a mail. I can even throw in a 2012 1st if you want more value in return.
There is no consolation prize. Winning is everything.

we will see what people think of that....if they dont like it then I will just let everyone be available for trade. But it will make you use your MLE more wisely imho.

Problem with that is it only hits teams that didn't make a run at cap space. Either all signings or none IMO. That way it hits everyone equally instead of just half the teams.

I agree with roc, MLE should be treated like all the other signings. With that said, I would prefer them to be tradeable.

I am a new player. I have a question are we allowed include cash in trades? If so do we keep track of it on the roster page.

Also when do we update our roster page with trades. When they have been accepted or when the 24 hours has passed.

The National Basketball Association today announced that the Salary Cap for the 2009-10 season will be $57.7 million.

The tax level for the 2009-10 season has been set at $69.92 million. Any team whose team salary exceeds that figure will pay a $1 tax for each $1 by which it exceeds $69.92 million.

changing this to $58,000,000 and $70,000,000

Next order of business Next years cap is projected to go way down. $50,600,000-53,600,000
Im thinking that the cap will be set at $54,000,000 and tax at $65,000,000 just to give everyone a heads up.

Minnesota is waiting for offers....will listen to all. The least likely to be traded are Kevin Love, Jonny Flynn, and Ricky Rubio.

If offering for Jefferson, the Wolves are looking for a wing stud, and a serviceable starting defensive center.

Send all offers to josh1524@gmail.com

actually you were in 7th cause it was based on the overall records. However, we would gladly like you to have a place in this game. in about 28 hours you may get your chance as a couple of people still have not posted rosters.

Do I add Sundiata Gaines to my roster? He was signed the day the contest started. ESPN has the salary, Sham doesn't even have the Maynor deal updated yet.
