He's a moron who brought this on himself. This absolutely would not have happened if he laid low yesterday and just played the game....Stop the nonsense!!!!

He's royally screwed as there is a chance pending the outcome of the investigation that his contract could be voided if he is found guilty of even the most minor infraction by the district of columbia's prosecutors.

In the nba.com release Stern says his on-going conduct indicates he is not fit to play in NBA games.

Is he unfit because he made his hands into the shape of a pistol during their last game? I wonder if there is a rule that says if a 3point shooter mimics a pistol after hitting a trey they'll be suspending that player.

AI wasn't even hit with a single game fine after having a gun illegally in his car a few years ago... it seems irrational to levy a suspension until the investigation is over.

For now he should just be asked to remain home with pay.

Read the CBA, this happened on NBA property on NBA time, totally different circumstances.

Malicious or not, Gil brought guns to the workplace. The "boss" (Stern) usually doesn't see this act as a minor offense.

Is he "unfit" because he made his hands into the shape of a pistol during their last game?

What a stupid move before game...and all the players laughing :o

Agreed...Monumental fail by Grunfeld for not having people closely monitor Gil...(Unless he wanted him to do somethign stupid enough to void the deal)

The only thing I find surprising is that this didn't happen sooner. It really was kind of weird that Arenas just kept on playing the couple of games after it happened like it was no big deal.

Hopefully it's not only a suspension and he gets away from jail time while we are still able to void his contract.

I can't remember the last time Arenas played a full NBA season. Him and McGrady actually.

I don't regularly watch Wizard games but is his absence really going to affect your team's play?

Granted when hes "Agent Zero" hes a human highlight reel, but hows he been this season?

Gil has been the Player of the Game more times than not when the Wizards have won.

Im sure you guys realize that this could be considered the lowest point in the history of this franchise. Prepare for things to get a lot worse. And I really hate to say that.
