hahaa

Meh, waived him for JWill. No problemo. Its a gamble that didn't pay off.

My league is way too deep for most of the stock advice that the "experts" give unfortunately. You really have to scrap the bottom of the barrel to find guys.

That said, one guy that really paid off for me is Gallo. He pretty much gives me a huge leg up on 3's every week. I actually drafted Gallo in the 13th round. Great pick.

Made up for some of my bad picks for sure. Anyways, I'm 25-21 after 5 weeks in my H2H league, one game behind the 2 guys tied for the lead. It's a pretty balanced league, everyone is active and trying to improve.

Anyone in a deep league that has some thoughts on guys like Vlad Rad, Mbah a booty, etc?

I have a big man heavy team, and I'm really going to get a nice boost (hopefully) when Kevin Love gets back next week. I am conceding assists almost every week, so I don't care about finding an assist heavy PG.

I'll go ahead and make a sig bet that Mikal is better by RPM this year than Zach.

Picked up Iverson in the nick of time. Hopefully he doesn't kill my FG%.

I picked him when NY was said to be signing him. I won't pic him up again. Even if he averages 15 and 5 (which is what I think he will), he's just not worth it. He'll kill my TOs, and FG and 3PT %'s. I'll stick with Hughes and Dhantay Jones instead (the two guys I picked up a few weeks ago).

BTW, I had also dropped J-Will a few weeks ago (after swapping Duhon for him on the Wire)...I really don't regret it. He's just to inconsistent w/ what the Magic run to be of any big benefit in the long run. I took Will Bynum instead, and he's paid off better (not so much in APG, where's like 4 a Game or so, but in PPG and %'s).
BAF 1.0 - Wizards: Year 2
PG: Kemba Walker (32) / Rivers (16) / Felton
SG: Evan Fournier (28) / Evans (20) / Dotson
SF: Gordon Hayward (36)/ Delly (12) / Dudley
PF: Kevin Love (36) / Frye (12) / Ellenson
C: Pau Gasol (32) / Noah (16) / Felicio

We talkin about 15/5? This is Iverson. In Philadelphia. He's going to be the alpha male. He's going to take helluva lot of shots a game. He's going to start and star.

I expect a minimum of 20/5 on 42% shooting.

I would need to have a free space or a horrible player to pick up Prince. Dude is very inconsistent and just a big gamble. Him and his "cousin" Rip lol.

Well I just traded:

Noah
CJ Watson
Okur

for

Shaq
Steph Curry
C. Maggette.

pretty fair trade IMO, both teams get useful pieces. Tough to lose Noah but Okur and Watson are fungible for the most part and Shaq is basically Noah with more heath risks.

I'm currently on week 9 and ranked 4th out of 16 teams on an H2H league.

I'm thinking about what to do with Jason Williams, Hakim Warrick and Ryan Anderson as they have been regressing the past few weeks.

This is my current line up:

PG Felton
SG Igoudala
G JR Smith
SF Hedo
F Pietrus
PF Love
C Duncan
C Okur
Util Duhon
Util Miles
BN Rush
BN Jason Williams
BN Hakim Warrick
BN Ryan Anderson

Available FAs that interest me.

Rudy Fernandez*
Nick Young
JaVale McGee
Hasheem Thabeet
David Andersen
Aaron Afflalo
Tim Thomas
Carlos Arroyo
Sonny Weems

Thoughts?

You should be. There is no reason to pick him up. You are better off picking up Nate instead. He will not get playing time and hasnt played more than 8 minutes yet. Just keep an eye on the Rockets rotation.

Is Juan Jose Barea available? I noticed he's been on fire lately and it look like you're competing in assists and 3's most weeks. He's good on the percentages as well. Might be worth a spot start if you are in a weekly format.

Also I would look at Bayless with Portland so dinged up. I tried to pick him up last night but another owner beat me by about 10 minutes...damnit! I'm in a deep 12 man HTH money league so the waiver wire is pretty bare at this point.

How about Kevin Love! I picked him in the 10th round of our draft, now it's paying big time dividends as I'm now going to win rebounds and FT% almost every week with his help. I was able to take out Noah and put in Love, and then trade Noah for help in scoring and percentages. It hurts me in blocks, but I am conceding blocks most weeks anyways as my big men are Love, Pau, Lee, Gallo and Speights. Great big men for 3's, percentages, scoring and rebounds. Love even pitches in some threes once and awhile.

At this point me and this other guy clearly have the two best teams in the league. He's played an easier schedule than I have and he's 3.5 games ahead of me in the standings. But that doesn't really matter, I only have to beat him in the playoff championship, if we even both make it.

The key for me is to win my division and get the bye into the 2nd round of the playoffs, I currently have a 3 game lead in my division. If I can get the bye as the #1 or #2 seed I have a cakewalk into the finals (on paper at least).

Still, I'm one Kobe or Gasol injury from mediocre. I can have anyone but those two go down and be OK.

Oh, and Gallo and Lee -- you guys are **** awesome. Thanks!

That Noah trade is looking good for me as well, as Maggete is playing some of the best ball if his career and Step Curry is a great source of everything except blocks. Noah is playing well but I have a lockdown on rebounds anyways with Lee, Gasol and Love. Hurts me on blocks but whatevs, wasn't winning blocks most weeks anyways.

i play in yahoo fantasy leagues... and i didn't realize that as of today, D-Lee is ranked #8 overall and Gallinari is at #22 ; though these rankings may not mean much, it's great to see Knicks that are high ranked in fantasy basketball

yea Gallo is over rated a bit in fantasy because 3's aren't as hard to come by as they used to be and the rankings haven't really accounted for that IMO. Still, he's been a top 40 guy easy, even if you think his 3's aren't worth that much. 14/4/3 with 1 block and 1 steal, plus his threes and percentages is very valuable.

Lee has been straight money. Straight money.

Chandler has been playing unreal lately too. Love when those 3 guys are lighting it up as they are all on my team.

I've been rewarded in the leagues where I took David Lee in the second round and got a few question marks in the chat.

A guy I've been severely disappointed by is Jose Calderon.

Some guy in a league wanted me to send him Ellis, M. Gasol, Jackson for Arenas, Jennings, Lewis. I laughed so hard and I am still shaking my head. I mean come on, everybody knows about Arenas trouble.

Calderon has single handedly screwed my team over. Wasted a 2nd round pick on him.. hope he rebounds.
