Matchup

Well, we split this little road trip and now we're home for four games, three against some 'easy' competition.

New Orleans has been playing a lot better lately.. mostly on the defensive end. Devin Brown was the star in their last game.

Russ Westbrook vs. Chris Paul will be the big matchup. Thabo can't bail out Russ on this one, there's no chance Thabo can check Paul so Russ might be on an island in this game. Russ has a big size and length advantage so maybe he'll make use of that getting to the rim against Paul.

Kevin Durant might be feasting tonight, Peja Stojakovic and Old James Posey will take turns guarding him. KD's career high of 47 came against the Hornets last season, I don't think a 40+ game is out of the question consideirng NOH's perimeter defense.

Pay close attention to Emeka Okafor in this game.. we might be scouting him :)

Some Numbers

Not much to say numbers wise in this one. Russ has been killing it lately, but we all know that.

Jeff Green's PER is down in the low 13's.. his minutes are being taken away by Scott Brooks, Eric Maynor has been fantastic and James Harden had a bounce back game. More three guard lineup?

A Question

At what point do we consider benching Jeff Green?

Going to this one. Its always interesting to have the Hornets come back to OKC.

Oddly enough 2 years ago we were all so disappointed that the Hornets were leaving, cause they looked like they had a great future ahead of them, and instead we got stuck with the Sonics. Funny what a difference 2 years can make.

I notice Jeff Green has been tweeting a lot less than normal so I think he knows how bad he is playing............That said if he continues to play uninspired ball start Collison.

Our defense has been horrible in this game.. offense has been 'blah'. I hate the force feeding of Jeff Green in the first half, it was nice seeing him finish at the basket but those threes and long jumpers were not necessary.

Peja getting open looks down by five now.. horrible defense.

I agree with you on this one, but are you watching the games or following through boxscores?

It wasn't Westbrooks fault that he took it, and clearly that wasn't the guy Brooks tried to get the ball to. I dont remember who it was, maybe Thabo, but he passed the ball in the corner with a couple seconds left and Russell was just trapped basically and had to force something

Watching the games, via a stream online. And I know it wasn't Westbrook fault, but he still shouldn't have been the guy.

Just watched the game.. wow. What a frustrating fourth quarter. NOH is not a great defensive team, I think our game plan on offense really broke down and we weren't getting the right people shots.

The stretch in the third quarter where we were hitting everything but not playing any defense was the game killer. We should have had a nice lead..

I have noticed that when we play really good on Offense we don't play well on D and when we struggle on O we play good D. Lets try and do both at the same time lol.

I call it the just enough to get by mode.

Return to Oklahoma City Thunder
