What if Kobe takes time off?

Post#1 » by TimoCruz » Thu Jan 7, 2010 6:05 am

Hey guys,

Long time Laker fan living in Toronto.

I personally feel Kobe finger(s) has/have effected his game in many ways. He barely goes strong to the hoop nowadays, takes too many floaters with his left, and his jumpshot seems to be inconsistent at times (althought he has averaged more points than normal)

So, what if Kobe decides to just get surgery done on both his annoying fingers. How long would he be out for? Would it be a logical decision to make?

Its not just one game. This will get worse game by game. I have been noticing it since the injury took place. Just answer my question if your going to post in the thread.

If Kobe took off the time he needed when his finger got hurt the Lakers would have a lost more than 7 games this season, all those buzzer beaters all those Ws, Kobe did that w/ 2 hurt fingers, a hurt elbow and knee.

They don't make em like they use to
Lakers are 22-3 in OT last 6 seasons:Kobe best OT closer!

I disagree. If Bryant didnt monopolize the ball and chuck the team out of the games, keeping the opposition close, the Lakers wouldve won those games. Situation reminds me of Game 2 of the 2004 Finals when Bryant chucked the team out of a win, yet Bryant stans claimed that Bryant's "clutch shot" took the game into OT. When in reality the team was playing poorly due to Bryant monopolizing the ball.

Let the kid sit and let the team players play. They'll be ok for a few games. The Lakers team minus Bryant is severely underrated and win games when he is out, as proven over the course of his career.

Last night was more his legs then his finger... 3 in 4 was rough, he got hot, rest of team was not really playing well or with energy, he missed a few short, tried to get the heat back and eneded up missing a bunch (so did everyone else btw). Happens from time to time, he's our #1 and him attacking and shooting is was our offense is based on, its how the defense reacts, he needs to shoot himself out of slumps on occasion. Normally he would have hit at least 3 or 4 of those last few if not more and we wouldn't even be talking about it. He just hit a cold streak at the wrong time...

please tell me real laker fans aren't this lame? this has to be one of the dumbest things I have read here in a while. face facts without kobe this team looks very average at times. i know we are better than we play at times but if it weren't for kobe carrying us alot we would not be holding on to the league's best record. people get caught up in media lies. face it we are not the deepest team in the league,we don't have anything close to four all stars we only have two! bynum and odom are beasts when they are on but they are off more than they are on.
Only on realgm is 27,000 points, 5 rings, 1 rs mvp and 2 finals mvp considered overrated!
