Ok, there has been a trade.

Just to be clear, Bigboy and me have been in each others ears before sett even told us about discussing order and which not.

Celtics_Champs receives:
Ben Zobrist
Carlos Quentin
Richie Weeks
Garrett Jones
Nolan Reimhold
Carlos Carrasco

BigBoy receives:
2nd pick
3rd pick
10th pick

So bigboy now is gonna select. Hopefully this is alright, I feel its fair, as I really like Zobrist and quentin, and it sets me up with some good prospects, as that is not a forte I feel strong enough in.

Confirming that and just to be doubly clear those are the overall picks CC listed. I kind of hate losing teh .950 OPS SS, but oh well, I get sick of my roster easily.

And I pick Andrew McCutchen and Ian Kinsler.

So now OldNo7 is up again twice, then CC twice, etc. Lets get some picks done!

Hold on, bigboy don't be an ****. That trade isn't happening. Let's put the draft on hold indefinitely.

edit: And no I'm not joking.

Huh? Why not? I talked it over with 2 managers in this league already, not including big boy, and they seemed perfectly fine with it.

But it is your decision, so if you want, we can just continue the draft and give the people bigboy selected for his team, to me, instead of starting all over.

Ben Zobrist just had a better year then Kinsler has ever had.

Carlos Quentin and Rickie Weeks for McCutchen is more then fair.

I didn't know I was going to get Snider, but him for Jones, Reimold, Carrasco isn't bad. Hell Snider could still bust as he strikes out a ton and Jones and Reimold are both coming off very good seasons. Carrasco wasn't that good last year, but he was young as hell in AAA, kind of wild card. I just don't have any room for him.

Now, can you explain to me how that is anyway close to the Hill for Halladay trade?

edit: Good luck trying to explain it.

I believe I explained the situation to you in the PM bigboy. In the interest of saying something that won't get bleeped: stop being a jerk to the new guy. The decision is final. Please stop crafting your arguments as to how the trade can be perceived as fair. I understand exactly what happened and so do you. Give it a day to let yourself cool down. You put me in a situation where I had to protect a new manager or else he'd have an unfair disadvantage from the start and it was my responsibility as commissioner to step in.

No, your PM made no sense, you said their rosters were already going to be thin, do you not realize I traded at least four legit fantasy starters for two?

It's all good if you say this trade is no good, but then you have to give Ty the option of taking Halladay back for Hill if he wants to.

Tell me again how this trade is bad for CC then I won't say anything about it. Because all you've said so for is ME COMMISH ME NO LIKEY. I actually broke down the way I saw it.

I liked the "interest of saying something that won't get bleeped" when you got bleeped in your official response to the trade. Good touch.

Final decision is fine with me no matter what it is. Either way IMO, I'd be getting a fair deal. But thanks sett for protecting me if you see it that way.

Bigboy was taking advantage of you, not in a malicious way I don't think. He did the same thing to Kaz last year and I kept quiet about it because it was a smaller deal and there was no precedent or reason to act on it or anything. This is a much bigger deal where the rich get richer and I can't allow the same thing to happen again on a larger scale. This was a bigboy starting offer where you're supposed to scoff at it and reply with a fairer deal, that's pretty much how most trade discussions with him work. You don't yet understand the player values and the dynamic of the league. I think it's clear that some of the onus for this fall on me and that I should have had another conversation with you to explain the dynamic of the league a little better before things began. Believe me, this was not a fair deal. I wouldn't be surprised if bigboy values the worst player he received (21-year-old Travis Snider) more than the best player he gave up (28-year-old Ben Zobrist).

I'm suspending the draft for a day or two until I can have a talk with both new managers. We may have jumped into this the draft too quickly. I apologize to everybody and will try to resolve this situation quickly and with fairness in mind.
