Players who's value will change with trade deadline

Post#1 » by Gus McCrae » Fri Jan 8, 2010 8:52 pm

There are quite a few teams could be making major shifts around February:

Chicago
Toronto
Sacramento
Philadelphia
Houston

My thinking is this is a good time to grab good players who don't get enough PT. For example:

Philly: Speights, very good player, not enough minutes, if Dalembert gets moved his PT goes up, he becomes a monster.

Toronto: Bosh could be on the move, I have to think Calderon may also; this would do wonders for Jarrett Jack if Calderon got shippedo out.

Houston: Scola/Landry/Hayes all splitting minutes and looking to move T-Mac. I have to think they're getting a F/C back and NOT including Scola or Landry. I think this could be a big sell high on Landry and Scola if Houston get something for T-Mac.

Sac: Probably looking for a true C if they end up moving K-Mart. Hawes, J-Thompson could lose significant value if a true center came back in that trade. Also, Udrih's value could increase along with Casspi.

My fantasy mindset right now is grab the good players who don't get enough PT on teams looking to trade. Any other names you can think that may perform signifcantly better or worse after the trade deadline?

Tyrus Thomas. If he gets unleashed at another team for 35+mins, will catapult into top 40.

Anthony Randolph.

Andray Blatche. No idea if his name has been mentioned in any trade talk. Probably on many waiver wires, so no trade necessary.

WHEN Boozer or Kirelinko gets traded (Which will happen), Millsap will become a straight up stud

Would anyone pick up Mcgrady a bit closer to the deadline what sort of numbers would he put up if he were to get traded to a team like the Wizards or 76ers or is he not worth it
